Will the 'leatherette' version of the PHB include the 3rd print revisions?

I'm very pleased to hear this! Does this also include the new and revised poison tables (as mentioned somewhere else on these threads) and the revisions on EV?

('cause if so, I think I'm gonna grab one of these bad boys!)

Well. The leatherette covered the majority of the typo fixes, I dont believe the poison tables were revised for it though.

A second edition of this book is now available. Greatly reduced in price the Castles & Crusades Players Handbook leatherette is printed on high gloss paper. It does not include the signature card, not does it have a sewn binding. This second edition of the leathette is smyth sewn (the same binding the regular Players Handbook has) and now retails for $55.00.

We area able to offer this price reduction because demand at the retail level allowed us to mass print. By dropping the individualized signature page we were able to cost affectively manage this.

Everyone who ordered the special colloector's edition with signature page will automatically be shipped a copy of this edition.

The paypal button will be updated tonight.

Thanks,

Steve

Question on these. You state that the binding is not sewn, but I was under the impression that a smyth sewn binding was also sewn at high speed via machine through the pages for a better binding?

You mean one isn't square back sewn (not really familiar with that, is that like side stitched? or sewn directly onto the spine?)but the book still has the smyth sewn (sewn packets before and then glued in)?

Also, is the paper acid free, or archival quality. What quality is the paper on the Leatherette?

Thanks

Are the original versions of the PERSONALIZED core books still available? I'm talking about the burgundy, green, or brown big, horkin' personalized books?

I asked about that, too. Managed to get Steve on the phone, and here's what he explained to me...

The original editions are definitely all gone.

The leatherette editions are still available (the PHB is the same text as the 2nd printing version of the regular edition. I don't remember if the Creatures & Treasures is the most recent version, but I believe so).

(Note: There's an error on the associated webpage that states you can get the 1st or 2nd printings for it, but only if you request it at time of purchase, otherwise the 2nd will be sent. That's not correct. Only the 2nd printing is available. They were gonna remove that from the page, but it looks like they haven't gotten to it yet.)

TL can still have a custom book made on request (similar to the originals), but it would cost you about 125 bucks to have it done. On the bright side, they've got all the original templates saved for various editions (I'm referring to the text), so you could have it be whichever version you wished. They'd do the initial stuff themselves, and then Steve hand-carries the pages over to the binder himself to have it all sewn and finshed for you. He also said they'd autograph it and/or let you have anything you wanted inscribed. If I remember correctly, you could also have a Society logo printed inside of it, if you're part of a C&C group (I assumed you'd have to send them the logo, of course). I didn't think to ask about cover colors, though. I think the Burgandy looks the best, anyway, so it didn't real come to mind.
I, too, would love to get my hands on one of the original printings (the spiffy $95 editions), just cuz I'm a collector and stuck with that mentality, heh heh. But yeah, as soon as I can save up enough for one, I'm definitely gonna have a custom 3rd printing version made. That is just sooo cool.
I'm also really wondering what they're gonna do for the CKGs when those are finally released. They'll probably do leatherettes, but I doubt they'll do full Personalized editions again (apparently they only sold a handful). But then, I assume, the real diehards would still have the option of having a $125 custom edition made. God, can you imagine that? $375 bucks for a full custom set of the 3 core books! Drool...

Kurgan, man good work. Thanks for all of that info. Now, I only to wait for the CKG to have my complete collection of Personalized editions. Sweet.
