Seriously, though, I can't say any specific book... there are just too many I find useful. OAD&D DMG, GFW series, Toolbox, The Arcanum, Nephilim, Chill, Gamma World... every other game I own....

I really like the AD&D DMG. I find myself going back to that book all the time.

It's not from ANY edition of D&D, but the Gygaxian Fantasy Worlds books are awesome. With the exception of Cosmos builder (beautiful cover art) which I am still on the fence about.

The accessory that has gotten most use from me would have to be the Greyhawk Slavers book.

Not a huge fan of the adventure presented in it, but as a reference book for the Wild Coast and environs? Its been extremely helpful. I run a lot of campaigns in that area so it has seen A LOT of use. I mean A LOT.

Few rules books other than the core books get enough use by me to consider them "most useful".

My favorites are always setting materials and my Greyhawk stuff gets more use then anything.

FtA also is extremely useful (thats right WoG box set die hards, I said it ) and gets a lot of use by me.

Hell, even the LGG is extremely useful.

Fine, its hard to pick one. I'll just throw all of my Greyhawk sets up there as being "Most Useful".

Jim Ward's Greyhawk Adventures - even though it wasn't enormous it somehow had lots of ideas and locations I ended up using and developing for my later Greyhawk campaigns.

I find any historical reference book from a wide variety of cultures and time periods, most useful.

I have to agree there. Even my fantasy games are more "historic" than "High Magic" Well on par with Tolkien anyway.

The Arcanum a supplement for D&D? I suppose, but I ran it once as a game, and it was more fun all on its lonesome than most games where it is used for source material. IMO.

AD&D 1st edition DMG

D20: FFG's Dungeoncraft, Wildscape, and Cityworks

Lots of other stuff gets used, but not as often as the above.

Well, we sure played Rules Cyclopedia D&D a lot before C&C (and I mean a lot of play), however I can't really say it's the best supplement because I don;t consider it a supplement, per se. The Rules Cyclopedia is a complete game system in one book. All the material ever needed to play a FRPG in one book is all there. It's not a supplement.

Very true Serl. However, in my mind I just simply can't include the RC as a supplement. First of all, in my mind the RC might be the single greatest RPG book every brought forth. In my mind, if it isn;t first, it's definitly in the top 5 of all time.

As for teasing... well, I'm not familiar wit the concept on these boards.

In my C&C game, I tend to bring the following supplements to the game (along with the C&C PH & M&T)
Basic Fantasy Role-Playing - covers lots of things that aren't in the C&C rule books, or does things in a way I like better.
AC1 - Shady Dragon Inn - for quick NPC's.
Gary Gygax's Living Fantasy - to fill in little gaps (cost of transport, etc).

Just got my Dragons of Aihrde Miasmal Wyrms book.

It's excellent. Very well done, Content is super and interesting. And the way it's presented, it will complement the Aihrde setting natch, but can easily be used in any campaign world.

Along with the M&T and 1E MM, it's everything I need for Dragons.

Shady Dragon Inn is a book of pre-generated characters for B/X D&D. It gives the stats and a brief description of each NPC. The book is divided by class, which in B/X means fighter, clerics, magic-users, thieves, dwarves, elves and halflings. Each section has a "group shot" illustrating the NPCs.

I dig it, too. I've got one of the dragons lined up to use in the next adventure. I love the base cunning that most of the Miasmal Wyrms display.

I should also add that they provide a map and description of the "Shady Dragon Inn" in case you want to use it in a game, and stats for the old line of D&D action figures from the '80s.
