Most of it, magician blood. Mord is charmed. Though he was almost rug-jacked.

I cannot believie that you all are bragging over the dwarf! And no one has recognized the death that occured - My OUTFIT was dirtied beyound cleaning! (You'll note that Mordenhiem says nothing about HOW it was sullied- or for that matter how many Times - HE sullied it)

The true hero of this session beyound the great sacrafice of my small clothes and lordly clothing was that of CARPET- I as in me allowed my - MY shoes to stand on the filthy dungeon floor and allowed the group to use MY CARPET!

What did the dwarf do- Huh What? Saved a few lives - pheshaw!
edited for spelling- I could not spell my way out of a cardboard box !!!!

I believe you're also the one who turned an innocent little badger into a 9HD spook and then flew PAST (over?) the dwarf to safety. >
I'm glad the ASPCA wasn't listening in last night.

Found this to be funny. Someone forwarded me one of those "did you know" emails. I got a chuckle when I got half way down the text and found the following:

Q. What is the only food that doesn't spoil?

A. Honey

Now we know why Strahd doesn't allow honey in Barovia! God forbid the people have something in their lives that doesn't eventually die!

Hey guys. Sorry I missed the game... Unfortunately my computer decided to crap out on me, and I've only sort of got it working again. My sound and USB ports aren't working, which means no headset (and also I had to buy a new mouse and keyboard). I'm going to take it in to have the local computer shop take a look at it and see if things can be fixed tomorrow, but unfortunately I can't say how long that would take. (Hopefully they won't do a bunch of unrelated / unauthorized "repairs" again, last time I had to wait three extra days to talk to a manager who could get the $60 they where charging me for "spyware removal" off of the bill...)

On top of everything else the other computer in the apartment has decided it doesn't want to talk top our cable modem, so once this thing gets pulled I may not have any access whatsoever (I'm gonna call Comcast and see if I can get things sorted out, but my luck right now doesn't seem too good.)

Stupid thing is I had everything (seemingly) working on Thursday morning, but I decided that since the fans had been intermittently noisy I'd open the case and blow them out with canned air. I thought I was careful... Of course, with the number of other odd things that have been going on with the computer lately it may have happened anyway...

So, hopefully I'll be back by Thursday (my fingers are crossed), but if not now you know why.

Sorry again for missing, glad things went so well for you all...

Unfortunately I took my computer down to the local shop this afternoon and they're being even bigger idiots than previously and I decided I just didn't want to deal with them. That leaves plan B which is to schlep it down to a less-local shop on Saturday, on the bus. Unless I end up just trying to save up and buy a new computer, I'm half convinced I should.

I'm worried that the problem may be the power supply (if not the motherboard) and I've already had one computer fry completely on me. I'd rather salvage the graphics card, memory, and HDD if I can... So I'm currently posting from my room-mate's computer, but I can't really take it over on Thursdays. I'm sorry to have to do this, but it looks like I'm going to have to drop out.

Yeah that sucks Kaomera, It sounds to me like either corrupted drivers/windows or a Motherboard problem. Id try a format/reinstall before bringing it in to the shop though.

If it is the motherboard and its just your USB and Sound that aren't working you could always buy a PCI Sound card and a PCI USB card until you save up for a new box. Also How old is your motherboard, most have 3 year warranties with the manufacturer.

And don't stress about the canned air, you would have to purposefully drip the liquid onto a chip for it to do any damage, the liquid evaporates so fast that any accidental liquid is probably a gas before it hits the board.

just my .02

Damn Kaomera, that bites. It was certainly fun having you involved for the one session you did make.

If Kaomera is definitely out, should we consider having someone play his character? We could definitely use the extra sword. It's pretty tough with 4. Maybe someone from the Monday group can fill in? Or do they have too much player knowledge?

I'll see if my son or daughter is willing to play it.

Kaomera, if you can post a final version of your character it would be appreciated.

So close guys! If Strahd didn't have a mad on for the mage he would have destroyed you all tonight. As it is the MAge, Mordenheim, bought you all another day.

So thank him profusely when you ressurect him. He may even let you kiss his feet.

Hahahah. Not denying it, but this cracked me up. After the first lucky turning and then raising of Mordenheim, didn't Mordenheim take a round out of our escape to burn the painting? So bitter and destructive, yet crucial to the party's survival as it turns out.

Perhaps we should have held the painting hostage. Might have prevented the future torching that ensued.

Well, a friend of mine came over and poked around the old computer with his kit, and the power supply is probably bad and it looks like it's damaged the motherboard. Apparently the surge protector I had been using is a worthless piece of garbage...

I have limited access to the internet via my room-mate's computer (when he's not playing WoW). My machine is probably 6 or 7 years old, so I'm just going to replace it. I may be able to get an old junk box off of a friend so that I can do emails and stuff more regularly, but otherwise it looks like I'm waiting until after Xmas (which, with my work, means not until January)... However I should be able to get a better computer out of the deal, and I have a few friends who promised to either help me get some deals and/or help me see what all is salavgable and try and pull all my files off of the old computer's hard-drive.

Treebore - I thought I had updated the character I posted here, the only other copy I have is unfortunately on my old hard-drive. But I think the one posted here should be current.

Glad you aren't all dead; good luck keeping that true!

There was a bit of a debate last session on whether your character had an undead bane weapon. Was that possibly a change you made that didn't make it to the version on here?

Really sorry to hear about the computer, that certainly sucks. Especially since you seemed to have your bases covered with the surge protector. Hopefully you won't go through too much withdrawl while you wait out the purchase.

A little luck, a few passwalls, a Staff of Healing, petty vandalism and Strahd's blind rage have pretty much kept us afloat thus far
