Ok... where's Outremere??

So yesterday my AWD Folio arrived in the mail (Woohoo!!)...

And, as someone who never delved into older versions (Codex), most of my knowledge came from these boards and the tidbits in Blacktooth Ridge etc.

So I'm just a bit confused.... I can't seem to find any mention of "Outremere" in the folio. Was it a "middle kingdom" that was wiped away by the Winter Dark? The maps and folio place the Blacktooth Ridge, seemingly, just north of New Aenochia in an area identified as the Northern March. Is the river Hruesen not on this map (too small?)?

I also must say I really like the written part of the folio (both books) and the setting in general... but the maps, while attractive, are somewhat small in scale (I guess I was teased by the detailed backgrounds on all the C&C covers and was expecting this level of detail). I realize that the folio is a primer for this campaign setting, so will larger more detailed maps be coming with an Aihrde box set in the future?

Just curious.

From what Rhu has said, Outremere is New Aenochia. From previous things said about the folio by the Trolls while it was in development, some place names were changed (Erde to Airhde). Hope that helps.

Yup. A long while ago it seems the Trolls went with the idea of getting rid of the real-world names in the Erda (now Aihrde) setting. Outremere being the first to go I bet.

Yeah, I too was hoping for some more precise or detailed mapping with regard to the Blacktooth Ridge. And then it occurred to me that this product might not be the best place for that map.

It is after all - a world setting folio.

So, a good "zoomed in" map of the BtR area should have been included in any of the "A" series mods.

Not the local map, which is fantastic but an area or regional map, showing proximity to Aufstrag, Grausamland and the Kellerwald. Hopefully, we'll see one included in the next A mod, as the Trolls have defined the World of Aihrde and Blacktooth Ridge.

Stange then... Outremere changes but "Maine," "Avignon" remain....

Thanks for the info though - clears up my confusion anyway.
