CKG's Fall release

Post by Treebore »

OK Trolls, I have been going around the various messageboards telling people that the CKG is going to be out in the next 90 days.

So your not going to be making a liar out of me, and yourselves, are you?

The "Fall release" is happening, right Steve?

Reassurance would be appreciated.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Um, Treebore you should know that any Trolllord release date comes with an *. On your messageboard postings you should always use the *.

Unfortunately my friend, 90 days should have been your first clue that it wasn't going to be out in 90 days.

LIAR!

OK, I'll start saving money to travel to Arkansas and inflict some pain.

Or you can go there and help the Trolls work on all their products and maybe answer a phone or two.

Me, I'm a patient fellow and so I'll just keeping on gaming until the CKG is ready. I know the Trolls are trying to make the book the best it can be, so some delays are inevitable!

A preview pdf containing a Table of Contents and a few pages of content would be a great teaser to keep the nay-sayers at bay, wouldn't it?

I've been waiting since I "pre-ordered" it last Christmas during the Troll Lords "Santa Sack" sale.

I say "sell no book before it's time."
In the words of my good friend Trevor, "Hey, put an arrow in that flying mummy! What could possibly happen?"

The CKG is getting its due diligence, but only Davis can say when its popped its ready cork... and then, Steve can say "oy, boy, should I have ever said this before!"

Just don't let it turn into the "Duke Nukem Forever" of the RPG industry... heh.

I'm sure the CKG WILL NOT turn into vaporware. It's coming folks. Just don't expect it for a good long while. And you never know, when you're not expecting it and it shows up, you'll be pleasently surprised!

For what its worth, I actually talked to Steve about two weeks ago when I was placing an order. I asked him about the release date, and he told me it should be out in November. He sounded sincere, and I don't think he said that just to get me off the phone (I hope). That means there's a chance I can get it for Christmas then!

Come on Steve! Could you back me on this one and post an expected release date? That would be nice to see.

Steve is a smart(er) man these days. He will not post the availability until its a given, which probably means: its at the printers, or in "the warehouse." So, if you don't see anything from him, guess what it means...
