An apology

Post by bloodymage »

Hi all,

I'm not sure this really requires an apology, but I am remorseful. I've not had my computer hooked up online since before I left on my Summer 2006 Con Quest. I'm at the library at the moment.

I was sideswiped with two financial mishaps just before I left on that trip and I've been technically homeless until last July, staying with my ex. I'm just now beginning to recover, however two more setbacks have occurred. In August, the state sucked up both of my disability checks leaving me nothing for the month! Last month, I was shorted about $400. All's back to normal this month, but I still haven't recovered my missing money.

Hopefully, I'll be back online next month. If not, surely by the end of the year. I guess the apology is just not for being around and helping out.

I'll be at DunDraCon and you Trolls are registered as dealers. I'll likely see Steve there and Joe Goodman as well. Beyond that, I've never had any word or direction from Davis concerning "Crusaders Gauntlet" or "Druids Isle," with accompanying map of Arbel.

No apologies necessary for that!

I know how you feel, we've been "dancing" with financial ups and downs for the last two years because of the Veterans Administration, fortunately nothing has us in danger of losing our home, but its definitely a problem within sighting distance, if you get my meaning.

Anyways, hang in there, and I look forward to when your able to be back regularly.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Ach! Don't want to forget Aldo! Gotta say hi to him as well.

And as to the VA, I've a claim that's moving at a breathtaking glacial speed!

Some of us prefer to be wrong, so others can think they're right.

None was needed. Debate is healthy, even when it is heated. And I don't recall anyone stepping out of line or being overtly mean.

Actually it was, but not because anything said on here specifically that I can recall, and it wasn't due from Coleston in particular. But somebody had to do it, and he stepped up. At least that's how I see it, anyway.

The argument has been wandering with increasing hostility across about five boards, PMs, emails, etc, and Coleston proved himself to be a better man than most for starting the "healing" process the online LA community desperately needs. He should be commended for that!

(But as I told him personally, he's also the resident cleric so it's kinda his job to heal stuff. )

Now let's talk about roleplaying, or somethin'.

Yes I can. Most fun part of my job.

But I 'm not sure I want to face whatever is lurking in your closet!
