Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I really hate eNWorld. Not because of the content, but because it takes forever to load. Always has. Doesn't even matter what connection I'm using. Hell, it was fastest with a dial-up from this crappy motel room...

Anyway, might be nice to get some stuff I don't have yet, which is a lot of the HackMaster stuff.

I took a look since I don't have *any* Hackmaster stuff, but from what it looked like, they didn't have the core PHB anymore.

I'm curious... but not enough to try and track down material from different sources and such.

That being said, I do appreciate it being brought to our attention!

any recommendations on hackmaster modules? I'm prepared to buy some if they offer expansions to the obvious source materials (i.e., to the old AD&D adventures). But I don't really need to buy them if they are pretty much identical, with only the (amusing) Hackmaster schtick tacked on.

Anyone who can recommend one or more of the adventures as adventures, and not novelty items?

I already picked up the core HM PHB on ebay for $10. I got it out of pure curiosity. Not really interested in anything else.

The Coin Trilogy is very solid, but thats for Kalamar. I like most of the "spoof" modules for HM, and they aren't really identical. The only one I didn't like was the Plant Master, or whatever its called, I think its the only one with the word Plant in it.

Indeed, damn fine module, one of the few that I've ever seen that I said "Man, I wish I'd written that!"

Slaughterhouse Indigo, Dead Gawd's Hand, and Road to Aster are three modules that will remain in print and available after the license ends. Hopefully they will have more originals between now and HM5E, as I think there's some real genius in HackMaster. Diabolical genius, but genius nonetheless. And then, too, they are nicely compatible with C&C...

so I'm hearing that Slaughterhouse Indigo is classic.

What about the re-writes of classic AD&D mods? I have the Hackmaster Little Keep already, and like it - it does add a bit of material to the existing TSR classic. Are any of the other hacklo-fied ones as good? or should I just stick with my originals?

I recently took my C&C group through Quest for the Unknown (The Hackmastered version of B1). They really enjoyed it. It didn't add as much extra stuff as say Keep, but what it did add was priceless. I thought one player in particular was going to go nutz trying to track down and kill the f*c*s flinging Lemur that kept ambushing them. LOL

Got my order in from Kenzer. Good Stuff, got a bunch of Hacklopedia's and picked up the Dangerous Denizens book. Luv's me some monster books.

Thinking about getting some more stuff from them. Is the Hobgoblins book any good?

Bill

Well I couldn't resist the sale (although the shipping costs surprised me), so I just placed another order (I saw where the Monster Matrix Hacklopedia was sold out), so I ordered the few Hacklopedias that I was still missing (I already had the Matrix *whew*)
I also ordered the Hobgoblin Sourcebook, I've always thought Hobgoblins were a cool but often underused race. I had a DM one time who ran a Campaign where the Hobgoblins were the top dogs instead of humanity. It was a really cool Campaign.

Later,

Bill
