When will we see new material?

Post by tcabril »

First of all I am new to C&C and so far I have to say I have become totally hooked!!!! I just got back from vacation where I blissfully read C&C every night as I drifted off to sleep - my wife thinks I am nuts. I remember back (argh 25 years ago!!!) to when I was introduced to D&D and it was a magical moment. Over the years the flicker of light slowly faded and then D&D 3.5 made me almost hang up my dice bag. Before I found C&C I thought that if D&D 3.5 is the future of gaming - I am so out of this hobby.

So thanks Troll Lords for bringing the magic back into my gaming life.

So now that I have purchased all that I can from Troll Lords - when will we see new products? I want all the A modules and Castle Zagyg stuff - so don't leave me hanging here!!!!!!

The Zagyg material is in Gary and Rob's hands at present. It's going at their pace.

The A series should be seeing new modules coming out over the next few months. There are a couple of modules that should be out shortly and are at the printers last I checked.

Bit at a time.

Several modules were slated for the printer. Steve will make an announcement when he is back, and when they are available, but I imagine it will be soon. Other than that, some of us are busy plugging away at huge projects.

Ya know, if you'd spend less time on the forums and more time slaving away, we'd have those new monster books by now.

Seriously, keep up the good work Serl, andI can't wait to see the new monster books.

Heh, I come to the forums to get away from writing for a while. Sometimes those little breaks are very needed. Course... I don't know why I come to C&C forums... hmmm. Maybe I should stop that?

Or Warden Cleaver. That can be shortened to Ward Cleaver, of course.

Yes! I got caught in it the accident as a pedestrian! But I made my dodge check and only took half damage, with most of that being subdual, so now I am here to say, "OUCH!!"
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Any ETA on the Keepers Guide?

Gotta say, I'm waiting on that and the CK Screen a lot more than I am on adventure modules.

I am with you on that! I would like the Keepers Guide to wait until their is a lot of alternative material out there; it can be a compilation of it. Hell, they could do a whole series of Keepers Guides over the years. Compendium of house rules. That would be KICK A$$!!

I am also looking forward to a CKG - more so than anything else.

There are many situations that I have no idea how to handle in a C&C game, so I just make it up as needed. However, a carefully thought out CKG with invaluable advice would be much appreciated. I could just go to the DMG from years past or even (dare I say it...) use the 3.5 DMG, but I don't want to! To me, the C&C game isn't complete until I get a CKG on my shelf!

Here is to hoping it comes out sooner, not later!

I kind of touched on this in a thread on another board. The SIEGE engine is extremely flexible. Because of its flexibility it is very hard to tell a CK how to handle every situation.

The best advice I can give is to read the examples sections of the PH second printing and use those as your "logic base" for all other rulings.

I guess the problem your talking about is the same problem my daughter has with C&C and is why she is more comfortable with 3E telling her every little thing. She feels when she gets confident enough, with experience, she'll be comfortable using the C&C rules.

So C&C may be easier, but apparently the SIEGE engine is so powerful/flexible, CK's who haven't got enough experience will feel lost in how to handle things.

The basic formula? Do what makes sense and set the TN accordingly and go with it. Change things as you learn more.
