Giant Aihrde Map Wanted!
Giant Aihrde Map Wanted!
While I really like the two part map that came with the folio, I would really like to get a poster size map, maybe even one with the old school hexes on it. Is there a way to get a digital version of "The Cradle of the World" in high res? If so, I could take it to Kinko's and spend some cash to make a giant size one for conventions (and my gameroom wall....)

If I could even get a hold of a digital version, I could have one made though (and it would be pricey). My goal is to run a game at Gen Con, and have some cool props, like a big map professionally mounted on foamcore (like 3' x 4')
Was there any significant changes between the old map and the new? I haven't seen the new maps yet (still waiting on my Aihdre folio).

Here's a link to the old map:

The map is about 32" X 21", so less than 6 sq. ft. I've found Staples to be one of the cheapest to print on a hearvier stock at $4.20 per sq. ft. My local printer wanted $8.00 per sq. ft.

I'd like a Sepia toned cloth style map with the old style nautical lines and legends. One for the whole world and another for the cradles of the world.

It's left out since technically, Yggsburgh is not part of Airdhe.

Plenty of spots that are good places for it though. Especially on the Kayomar side of the map. Plus I think the history fo the Kayomar area would blend the best with Ygssburghs.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Guess I have to get the folio to know the history, eh? Suppose I can just place it anywhere and make it work. Technically my campaign is going to merge Airhde and Inzae anyway (not in a planar way but actually combining the geographical places so I can incorporate resources from both worlds).

I incorporated it too. I just kept it via the gates, so that Inzae is a world made for higher level play, with all the powerful monsters that you wonder why the "normal" world still exists.
I still use the modules for ideas, but everything is seriously scaled up.
After Lost Caverns of Tsjocanth my home group will be going to Inzae for awhile. In fact I have a gateway to Inzae via the Caverns.

The old, old poster map of Erde (the link in Rhu's post) is not that great in my opinion. Personally, I hate it. However, this thread makes some great sense that TLG would provice such a product, or at least the hi-res file so that Aihrdephiles can print it out for themselves.
Would be sweet.

Cool... I just had a chance to look at the new map! Thanks for the link btw...
I printed it on a regular sheet of paper to stick in my binder... I can't wait to finally get my hands on this!
