C&C Oriental Adventures....Jade Empire

Post by Lucifer_Draconus »

Has anyone thought of creating a C&C OA campaign based on the Jade Empire game?

No. Thats what my L5R game is based on. Well, the story line anyways.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Bah to L5R (J/K)..I'm looking into something C&C based. It'd be cool if TLG would licence (sp?) Jade Empire for C&C.

The biggest reason I like L5R is because the mechanics really feed into the "flavor". Jade EMpire is heavy on flavor, and I am able to get that with L5R.

As much as I love C&C, I don't see it coming even close to getting the same thing across.

I'll be happy to be wrong, because the L5R system isn't exactly simple.

Were I to do that, I'd be very tempted to use the old AD&D Oriental Adventures book as-is, making adjustments on the fly, substituting the SIEGE engine for the core mechanic.
