Converting AD&D Weapons

Post by Dragonhelm »

Are there any guidelines on converting AD&D weapons to C&C?

I'd assume it would be as simple as using the S-M size category, then nixing any plusses or minuses.

Note: I don't use encumbrance rules in my game, so that's not a concern for me.

Thanks in advance.

I'm no expert, but it looks like your idea would work fine. Personally I would just use medium and I have been tempted to bring in the large column from 2E.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

There is no need to delete bonuses or penalties; in the C&C PH there are many weapons who have a bonus added. C&C does not use the 3e standard of having straight dice rolls.

I would just use the small/medium damage as listed.
