For all the gaming boards, its the same as here. I think I'm only on one other board that isn't gaming and that one is different - my homage to LOTR - Amon Sul. Odd though, it's not a gaming forum, but I use a fantasy/gaming name.

I do have one other board name, but its against board rules to have our names known elsewhere.

I like to be on that board because we are able to have very civil discussions about stuff in the news and politics.

Over at DF, I'm "(A Guy Named) Kim". I used to be 'khartsfield' there too, but I would sign some posts "Kim" and then get a lot of, "Are you a girl?", so I asked the admin to change it.

When I was in the Navy, my nickname was 'Harty', so I use that on a lot of older boards and email addresses.

Some call me "Big Sweet Love Machine". But I ain't saying where...

I tend to be "Robocoastie" everywhere. I hate how every board needs its own username and account. MSFT tried to eliminate that hassel when they made the hotmail signin thing but, as with everything from that company it comes with so many strings (and ads) attached that developers and admins said "hell no."

The nick name comes from combining Robocop with my name. One of my shipmates when I was in the Coast Guard started it when he said "you're robereno, roborob, the Robocoastie!" and it just stuck after that. (Coastie is an affectionate term people in fishing communities that relied on our search and rescue techniques called us). Anyway I've used the handle ever since partly as a way old shippies can find me and oddly enough it works. /shrug.
