Help save the world of Aihrde! Deserts

Help save the world of Aihrde!

Yes, it true!!!

Someone forgot to include a desert on the map! (they didn't really, but I want a desert!)

To correct this gross oversight, I'd like to put a blotch of sand on the map, where we can all happily journey to, battle nasties throughout, and later become dried, dead husks in -complete with gleaming white bones bleaching under an accursed, baleful sun, etc.

Rhuvein had a great suggestion: "I have decided to use the lands east and those northeast of Blacktooth Ridge ~ Plains of Achrothos. I've place Tel Qa and I3 Pharaoh out there!"

Sooo, let's open this to the floor.

Where should we place our desert? (Be sure to include a logical reason for it being there if you can.)

Help save Aihrde, so people don't turn to other settings that already have cool deserts.

Hmm...

Looks like I'm getting closer (pg. 4): "[Aenochia] comprises massive mountain chains...and great southern deserts."

If I was using the world of Airhde as written it would definitely be outside of the "cradle", but as to exactly where, I don't know.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

I'd place it outside the cradle as well. Think of the Easterlings from LOTR. Something of a mystery land heard of but not seen by most of the world.

What about the huge flat area in the center of the Marl? This seems like a good place. It is a nice wide and flat area shielded by mountains on two sides.

Or part of the area between Lake Vanhir and the Amber Sea, since it is in the south of Aenochia?

Does the Codex of Erde provide any good hints or further information?

Yep, either of those areas seem excellent. And that's the thing, the Codex only speaks to the "Cradle of the World" part of Aihrde. And the rest is all new, as far as I know ~ so it's all open to the CK.
