Crushing news

Post by bloodymage »

I've posted this on a couple o' other sites so my gaming friends the most recent reason for my sporadic participation. I debated on putting the information here or in "The Society" forum and I figured there might be good friends and developing acquantances who don't frequent the same places I do. So...

I want my friends here to know as well. Last Friday, just after 2PM, my ex was killed in a head-on collision with a suspected drunk driver. Even though she treated me horribly at times, even with extreme cruelty, I had forgiven her all that and there's a HUGE hole in my heart because of this heinous disaster.

Went to juvenile court and the kids, Amos 17 in February and Casey, 18 in two days are temporarily placed in a foster home until I can arrange a place for them to live. Nate, the oldest and the musician will likely always need someone to live with him though he can take care of himself quite well being legally blind along with his other problems, is with an ex-aunt by marriage who's completely mental.

I can't make any predictions at the present moment as to when I'll again have the time or funds to be a productive member of the community.

You and your family are in my prayers, Bloodymage. My grandfather was killed by a drunk driver who had been in prison for killing another person four years before.

And the family situation stress the heart a great deal too.

Let us know how things turn out and make sure to come back here to vent!

Very sorry to hear that; my condolences. I hope that things improve for you and your family.

We all understand family first. Take care of them and yourself. We'll still be here.

Having lost my wife this year (to cancer), I empathize with you. PM me or email me if you need to talk.

In the meantime, I am praying for you and yours.

You don't need time or money to be a productive member of society, brother. Knowing that you are caring for your family the best you can makes you more productive than many. Always remember that...

My condolences to your lost. God Bless you.

Had the service yesterday, now it's just the rocky road ahead that nearly every death leaves behind. Still grieving, still problem solving but God is surely good. Just before the servive, I wrangled myself a landline and DSL is scheduled for Monday! So, after the traverse of the rocky road, I'll be back with my KISS, sometimes terse, caustic self you all know and love!

PS: Hey Trolls, I'd still like some information, direction, something, fot the moduled I've placed in your hands. The first was a four-part, low level mod to introduce gamers to C&C (32 possible places for newbies over the course of the adventure. How do I earn my epaulets as Field Marshal the Society if there's no demo module and no demo team?) I know some complained of the difficuly of the third section and I replied they'd likely never been through one of Gary's adventures. That was not a refusal to change it, simply the start of discussion for me. I do the challenge numbers are mostly too high for inexperienced characters.

The second was a high level, panoramic, epic adventure traversing then-Erde culminating in a confrontation with a god and the tranformation of one character. Haven't heard squat about that one. I even sent a map of Arbel I drew with the assistance of bloodyson. Certainly not official, simply my possible view of it without a complete description or even a sanctioned map[/i]

I'll see Steve at DunDraCon and I'll gently upbraid him there with a beer or two or three and get the scoop on the Troll's, especially Davis' thinking on my works of labor (9-fingered typing disabilty!) and love.

My condolences to your loss. With the loss of my dad I can understand what you are going through.

I wish I was better with words and had something more to help.....
