Good game Titania

You just had to charm poor daddystabz, didn't you?
The poor guy is already getting ribbed about being a scorpion, then he really does have to stab us in the back. The DM forced him!

Or, at least, that's his story
I was glad to see that every one quickly adopted the best strategic move in the combat. The samurais fought the baddies, and subdued the girl, the mage pulled down the bad mage (great work there, Yoji), and the scout spent his time suckling a newborn babe. Each to his own particular talent!

I still say I should have punted it into the bay. I could have blamed it on taint, right? Besides, I would have had to change my awesome mini if I joined the fight.

Good game, Titana. I think I'm finally getting a feel for the character and setting.

It took some prodding but you guys got more involved last gaming sesssion! and you guys are starting to see what I meant by one word can make you or destroy you.

I wish we had more time to go through all this stuff, then we could role-play it out the way it is spposed to be.

I am having a great time in L5R and in the role-playing. We could always play extra weekend sessions that would be longer! ::hint:: ::hint::

Remember, the 4-6 weeks per module is just a guideline. Don't rush yourself on the account of some arbitrary deadline. Rule number one is: have fun, and I am pretty sure everyone is.

The idea was that the scope would be limited so we can get a taste of various games, and rotate DMing to avoid burnout. Once we find some games we like we will return to them, forthwith.

I know when I was DMing, I enjoyed the crazy dialogues/roleplay the most. So don't shorten those if you are skipping things you want to do. (Although, I felt I was able to do some of that when I "polished" our dialogues in my summaries. So that can get information across too)

The problem with roleplay emphasis is the internet-ness of our games. You are always going to get 2 people talking at the same time, long stretches of quiet because players are unsure who should speak next, and so on. Makes it take longer. If we are just clicking the dice roller and killing old men and knocking young girls unconscious, that is quicker
I quite like it though. I think if some of us (Slimy, Aramis, Jaybird) can read over some of the setting material that will help in the social interactions side of things too. It won't stop me playing a cocky and agressive swordsman, but then you will know I am doing it for roleplaying reasons rather than because I am crazy!

I'm looking for you on Skype right now m'lady! I just got home at around 6pm est. Right ater I got off early for work my mother contacted me and asked me to take her to her doctor appointment. I had no idea that was going to happen. I took her to her appointment and grabbed some food to take home with me on the way home. I then scarfed down the food and began searching for you at around 6:15pm est. on Skype.

I will leave my Skype on the rest of the night patiently awaiting the return of m'lady for another night of wonderful dinner and intrigue.

P.S. Into the role-play mode of things. I was reading through my Emerald Empire sourcebook and found some interesting material I can apply to my character to further flesh out his backgorund, give him more depth, and fit it into the existing story fantastically. I will run what I've found by you.

I have done some one-on-one sessions with daddystabs so that the stuff with Mae won't cut into thursday game time, and there has been so much interest on the ORPG servers that I have made a permanant game on saturdays, which currently consists of a guy named Joe (military dude), Daddystabs and his friend Jennifer. If any of you have the time to join let me know.

I have already invited her to listen in tonight to get a feel of how a party of players work compared to the one on ones she has heard us do.

Though it would be useful if she was there to heal....

We will just have to see if 1. my bro is going to play the lion or not. and 2. If she will be up to it anyway.

I would be willing to have both my bro and her play, but I will have to get a few promises out of my brother first. Remind him that he won't be playing a ronin, but an extremely honorable lion samurai....

So I completely understand. Just make sure she is drinking LOTS of water and eating alot of read meat, especially steak.
