And now Real Life raises it's ugly head

Post by Julian Grimm »

I had to take my month old son to the hospital Wednesday for what turned out to be surgery for something called Pyloric Stenosis. Basically the bottom 'valve' on his stomach wasn't working causing him not to take food. We came home yesterday and outside of soreness from the surgery he is doing fine.

However, with this and other things going on I am going to have to make changes. Raven's Keep and The Keeper having long suffered from a hectic work schedule, pregnancy and a birth will now be officially closed and dropped. I just don't have the time for any of them any more. I will still work on some stuff that I had been for both but will present them either here or in the society newsletter when it is finally started.

As for RK it will be left open so that those who have things there can get them. At the end of the week I will begin locking and deleting material from it. I will however retain the rights to the name and logo's I have created for future projects.

I'm glad to hear your son came through the surgery OK-that's all that matters.

Yup, glad to hear your son is doing well.

It is amazing what they can do with little ones, even rebuild parts that didn't form right in the womb.

Hey, as long as your son is OK. Raven's Keep can always see the light of day again. All the best,

What the above folks said is right on.

That your son's surgery went well is a blessing. Family is where it's at.

This hobby we spend time on is just that -- a hobby like any other. It's for free time, and you don't have much of it these days. Shoot, nor do I. Just remember, retirement is coming!

Prayers of thanksgiving and for your son's recovery. I know all about RL being rough, but I pray that He that is "able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy" (Jude 24) will lift you up in these trying times.

All the best and happy gaming, Julian.

Much appreciated. I spent alot of time in the hospital chapel over this. I'll double check the verse and thanks for it.

I'm not going anywhere. This community and FFC keeps me sane during these times. I'm just slowing more side projects down.
