What classes can use wands?
Could you clarify what other classes can use which items, etc?
Thanks

wand use
For crying out loud. Do your best with the rolls the dice have given you. This is what separates the men from the boys... -Kayolan
Any class that has the spell on their spell list (that is, if you can find it on the lists of spells available per class anywhere between level 0 and 9) can use a wand containing that spell, unless the wand description states otherwise, and then it will usually denote how differently it is used by such classes (such as the AD&D wand of magic missiles where any class can use it, but non-wizards have to make attack rolls and can fire but a single missile.) For example, a wand of invisibility could be used by both a wizard and illusionist because either class can cast that spell, but a paladin could not as they cast no spells at all.
Most items can be used by anyone - it is only those with a "spell trigger" that require the character to be capable of casting the spell. This types of items are scrolls (rogues can decipher arcane ones and divine ones can only be used by their proper classed individual), most staffs, some rods, all wands, and very few rings. Weapons and armor can be used by whomever is skilled in it, though you can take the non-proficient (or class-based penalties for armor usage; see assassin for an example) penalties if you can't wield the weapon by class, likely nullifying the bonus to hit of the weapon outright.
