I'm still glad I didn't! Getting it for $10 makes me glad.
I find it funny how many posts I read about Castle Zagyg, but the fact that it is written for C&C never sunk in!
Plus I have discovered I love reading Gary's writing as much, maybe more, than I did when I discovered the Greyhawk boxed set 2+ decades ago.
I still love Gary's ideas and presentation and it feels good to "come home" to his creativity once again.
In that regard, I waited too long to buy Castle Zagyg.
Makes me eager to read Hall of Many Panes and the World Builder book, even if he didn't actually write it.
Plus the Darlene map!! God! That brought back memories!! Makes me want to go out to my garage (even though it is 3:45 AM and the scorpions and rattlesnakes are out hunting) and pull out my laminated GH map by Darlene.
Thanks to Gary and everyone who helped him put Castle Zagyg together. It is metaphorically like coming home after a very long and very arduous trip. It feels great to come home!
I should have bought Castle Zagyg long ago!

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Good to see that you got it. Castle Zagyg is an amazing book for use with C&C. I received mine with the three book (PHB, M&T and CG) sale in the slipcase. A very handy book.

Hehe, it's one of the few books I have worth $40. But at $10, it's a steal.
Welcome to the club! 8)
[The Codex of Erde is another book that's worth it at full price!]

I had wanted to pick up Castle Zagyg for some time now, but didn't buy it until the sale. From what I've read thus far, it takes me back to the days when I first read the old Greyhawk products. It's been a lot of fun.
Dragonlance is still my setting of choice, but I would definitely be up for Castle Zagyg as a change of pace.

I'm glad I got it as well. the whole book is amazing and it can be retrofitted into GH with little problem. After reading through it I pulled out my old GH stuff and really looked at it. I finally decided how and where my C&C game is being run.
Can't wait for CZ2!!

Very true. And a darn fine read it is, too.
