Some of the human diversity in the world of Airdhe fairly obviously mirrors real-world human diversity: Zualans for africans; Nehians for asians, and so forth.
I'm wondering if the Rykaard are intended to have a specific real-world analogue (Italian/Portuguese/Mediterranean folks?), or if they're simply the caucasian humans who tend toward dark hair and eyes, rather than fair complexions?
Either way, it makes no difference to me, or to my game, I'm just trying to get a feel for what was intended by the setting author.
Thanks,
TheNewGuy

Hallo,
The Rykaard are based very loosely on Polynesian peoples. The Madriu on Mediterranean peoples.
The Inklu are loosely based on North American Indians/Native Americans.

Thank you for taking the time to respond, Steve. It helps me a lot to know. While I'm not a "slave to canon" by any stretch, if I'm using a published setting, I like to know where the marker-points are, so my self-created stuff doesn't contradict the setting unless I want it to do so.
If I could ask one more "humans of Aihrde" question -- does Aihrde contain any sort of middle-eastern folk? I've always been a fan of Sindbhad, the Arabian Knights stories, and TSR's Al-Qadim. It would be a pleasure to be able to integrate that sort of gaming into Aihrde, should I miss it.
Oh, and if I still haven't abused your patience -- does Aihrde have any moons or planets? I'm a big fan of Edger Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars stories, you see ...
Okay, I'll shut up now. Thanks again for the reply. I do absolutely appreciate it.
