Crusader #9, and beyond . . .
Crusader #9, and beyond . . .
Hello fellows,
Crusader #9 will mark the beginning of Jim Ward's tenure as Editor-in-Chief of The Crusader. Contained in that issue will be the last piece Gary Gygax and I actively collaborated on before he passed. The article, which is slated to be a regular feature, is called The Dweomercraefter's Den, and its focus will be on the Castle Zagyg project. The first installment is an introduction to Castle Zagyg. I wrote it, and Gary edited and revised it.
Tonight I'm sending in the next installment to Jim, for issue #10, and it will focus on, well, some of my own reflections on Gary, especially those thoughts that pertain to our work together on Castle Zagyg.
In future installments of The Dweomercraefter's Den we will delve deeper into the nuts and bolts of Castle Zagyg, including Castle Keeper advice, dungeon design, and more. Our hope is to have this feature serve as a fine and useful enhancement to the Castle Zagyg project.

Sounds good. The more Castle Zagyg the better.

Excellent news. The bits and pieces of upcomming products was one of the neater features of the early Dragon magazines. Even if some of the products turned into vaporware, that only added to their mystic.
CZ previews can only whet our appetites even more!

That is the kind of stuff that will make me a life long subscriber to Crusader. Do that for Zagyg and Airhde/Inzae and it will be a certainty.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

This is really maximized awesomeness Mr. Jeff T. The East Mark, Yggsburgh and the Castle do really deserve a good amount of attention, and the Crusader seems like a great way to enhance the setting.
Wicked sweetness.

Saweet!! I'm planning my first C&C campaign to start in May, and my players will start in that lovely Workhouse found in Yggsburgh Town Halls. Guidance, tips and advice from your column will be an awesome help. It's fantastic you and the Trolls will be able to keep Gary's work alive and well and growing.
