Blood Runes

Post by Rigon »

I'm reading through Heart of Glass and saw a couple of refrences to Blood Runes. Are they described anywhere? I have Winter Runes and have glanced through it (my next read), but was wondering if there was a book out there that I needed to track down.

I don't think there is. Like Bergholt II I think it was lost in the C&C switchover. Let's hope these books see a redux under C&C and the rest of the books that were hinted at come out.

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06

I saw a reference to an adventure with the name Blood Runes in my D20 copy of Lion in the Ropes. A spell in that module was supposedly linked to a bigger spell and the adventure was referenced. I am wondering if this became Winter Runes ( I need to red through this to see) or if it was lost like War of Thorns and Codex Germania.

Steve's been in this forum lately so maybe he'll see this and give us an answer.

I just purchased the cover for Blood Runes.

Todd and I have been looking over the Rune Chronicles that we started with in Winter Dark. The Blood Runes was supposed to be the follow on to that book. The Winter Runes allow you to plane travel of course, but the Blood Runes, once mastered give you power over time.

There are other Runes as well, the third installment was/is Autumn Runes. Mastering these allows oneself the ability to move into and out of dimensional space.

Haha

I have to say I'm pretty happy to be at last working on Aihrde material. Its sat for years now, abused and forgotten.

I'm looking forward to the Cradle of the World Adventure Box Set

So we are going to see these for C&C? I'd love a copy of Winter Runes in C&C terms.

Good. I have the D20 run but really want to see the C&C versions. Especially the new classes like the High Elf and the Runecaster ( Is that right?) from WR in a C&C version. I did my own take on the High Elf but want to see if it matches what TLG does.

*chuckles* Ya well, when one's schedule gets abruptly lighter, one needs things to fill it...

I may as well just copy Rigon rather then type essentially the same thing again.

All I can say is that I am very happy. I am hoping to see more of this place and hopefully something on the Winter Dark.
