The crusade grows......

Post by VFults »

A couple of months ago, an old gamer friend of mine who moved to another state dropped by for a visit. Naturally, talk turned to the "good old days" of our old group and we had fun remembering some of the high, low, and silly moments of the campaigns.

He sighed and said that he missed how much fun D&D used to be; the 3.5 campaign he was currently running had six players and was a nightmare for him to manage. So I said, "let me introduce you to your new best friend..." and showed him the C&C PHB. He thumbed through it, nodded a few times, and said it looked good. He had other people to visit while in town, so we didn't get to play a game.

Well, I heard from him this week. He went home and converted his game to C&C. At first, his players resisted the idea of not having feats and skills, but once they had an evening of play behind them, they now will not go back to 3.5. So, add seven more players to the crusade!

Regards,

V

Always good to hear! I wish so many weren't so resistant. I can't help but think how many more happier gamers would be out there if the used C&C.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Your previous edition is irrelevant; you will be assimilated.

Resistence is futile.
(hope Paramount doesn't sue... wait that's only Disney that does that)

Very nice!

I think C&C definitely is very good at selling itself, if you can just get people to try it.
