Who will be at Troll Con VI?

Post by AGNKim »

Me. It's quite a drive and rooms may be expensive, but I'll make it.
Anyone else?

I'd say about 95% sure. Has anyone booked hotels yet?

I've never stayed in LR before, so I don't know how busy the town is in the summer.

If I haven't booked yet- does that mean I'm sleeping in my car?

The West Little Rock Holiday Inn Express still has plenty of rooms available for TrollCon. You can either book online or call them (1 888 HOLIDAY (888 465 4329) ) to make a reservation. Just make sure to tell them you're with "TrollCon" to get the correct rate.

LGGC will be it for us this year - we'll do the January Winter Dark but unfortunately I have to also pay for other types of trips - at least one major conference a year, and my school's professional dev. only covers so much of that.

So I will send good vibes along with those I meet and see in Lake Geneva to take back to Little Rock!!

Sorry to hear that BD...hopefully we'll be there on Friday to say "Hi!" but it'll depend on Indigo Rose's interview next Monday and (hopefully) new job.

That guy is just a rumor. A myth. Like the Jolly Green Giant or Charlie the Tuna. A corporate symbol.

Beh.

troll con bio

Post by Mac Golden »

Mac Golden

The mere existence of this being is often debated by tibetan philosphers and gamers alike. Some question whether he is a true Troll Lord as video footage shown at Troll Con 3 showed what appeared to be a suit-clad hobbit, leading to speculation that he is in fact an Ogre-Magi. Others claim the video is nothing more than fakery perpetrated by a former WotC executive seeking revenge for postings on the now defunct d20 OGL message board.

None of this is helped by Troll Lord Stephen's claim that he "only communicates with that bastard via the magical coffee cup he carries!" (Which supposedly translates the arcane words and rules spoken by Mac -- if he can be bribed into speaking).

Legend has it that Mac once kicked Troll Lord Davis out of the Gen Con booth for eating Nachos without a permit (an allegation vehemently denied by Davis who is contemplating a slander suit).

Myself and three friends will be down Saturday morning. Be there Saturday and Sunday. I will have my module I play to run first of August here at Tulsa in Defcon is anyone wants to give it a shot
Pretty much a quick type adventure to get people familiar with the system. Would love to get a group to run thru it to help streamline it a bit.

I actually asked Steve point blank at Fat Cats in Lake Geneva if MG was a myth or quite real lol....

Despite a long day of convention running and several beers, he remained Trollishly cryptic....
Nah, he confirmed his existence. Still, I have images of the end of Shaun of the Dead, and Mac is secretly a zombie locked away in the shed, chained there until Steve comes to play C&C.

Looks like Indigo Rose and I are a "for sure" attendance. We'll be in Thursday afternoon to attend the TLG cookout and then at the con bright and early Friday afternoon (shortly after waking up, probably.).
I decided that since our ETA to arrive and leave were so vague I wouldn't sign up to run any actual games; just do some last minute stuff in Open Gaming. We both want in on Kim's 1E game Saturday though!

Sometime during the con (if there is interest) I'll run either my C&C manuscript for Streets of Burgaine or a short Victorious scenario w/pregens. Also considering bringing one of my favorite boardgames; TSR's 1979 classic "Divine Right" for anyone interested as well. I'd bring AH's Diplomacy as well....but that one tends to end in fistfights.
See everyone there!

I'm sure they'll be plenty of room in the scheduled games as well as plenty of pickup games as well to get into.

And speaking of Diplomacy, i've got a B&N gift card and will probably be picking that up tomorrow. I've read great things about that game. We'll have to do a game so you can teach me how to play.

Glad that you and the wife and going to be able to make it. I'll see you Thursday night.

Nah....I tend to prefer humans; but at that level it'd be darn few demihumans anyway. Well, except maybe some Thieves.
I've always wanted to try an Illusionist, but I'm not sure lvl 10-14 is the right time to try?

I usually find myself playing magic-users or clerics, the latter because few other people want to play them in our groups and I'm a firm believer that every party should have a cleric! Two if at all possible... But I'll run just about anything if needed!

After ten, it would be awesome if someone could tell me how the first day went.

It turns out I'll be able to make it about four hours earlier than expected tomorrow.

Well, its going like gang busters right now. Todd's running a game with about 9 people in it.
