Blackmoor for C&C

Post by Bahamut »

Obviously Castle Zagyg is a huge boon for C&C players and I can't wait until the whole project is completed. My other big wish is that Castle Blackmoor could also be done for C&C. I know that a d20 version was in the works, originally with Goodman Games but apparently now back with Zeitgeist Games and Arneson himself. The last I heard is that it's still "on the anvil" so to speak but no real time frame for release. I would love to see it reworked for C&C play as opposed to d20.

Anybody else like to see this for C&C?

*raises hand*

To be honest, I was dissappointed when Castle Blackmoor changed hands because I was really looking forward to it, regardless of what system it was for. Now we just have to WAIT that much longer...

I'm on the Blackmoor website everyday playing in a PbP. I also understand that the Hardcover was actually done (with Goodman) and now they are just doing a softcover with more material and a cool color map fold out with Zeitgeist.

release date is not announced.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Yep, I would. I have the original Blackmoor supplement and have always thought it would fit nicely in Airhrde somewhere up north a la Greyhawk. I've only briefly looked through some of the newer material and it looks "mineable".

I post over at the Blackmoor website and expressed interest in doing Blackmoor with C&C.
Blackmoor using Castles & Crusades instead of D&D 3.5

As I said over there, I have the main book and could help with conversions on that end. Many thanks to Chris Rutowsky at Goodman Games for creating a resource doc for converting D&D 3.5 to Castles & Crusades (specifically converting The Mysterious Tower to C&C):
Thread at Goodman Games for converting to Castles & Crusades

Havard at the Blackmoor site said he would be happy to host any conversion documents. I would like to see Troll Lord Games and Zeitgeist team up to bring Blackmoor to Castles & Crusades.

That definitely wouldn't hurt anything, IMO.

In my own homegame, I use the C&C rules for BM for quite a while without any problem.

Castle, the setting book, and at least one adventure book, are here at GEnCon.

I saw them, but they're books I've seen before... Zietgiest is making a deal about BM, though I haven't seen anything new from BM here...

But honestly, I wasn't looking. My mind was on the joy of Wilderlands coming into C&C... Cool Stuff.

These are the Blackmoor/Zeitgeist books I bought today:

Players Guide to Blackmoor

Blackmoor softbound (not HB, replaces/updates its material)

The Wizards Cabal (Blackmoor)

The Dungeons of Castle Blackmoor

The Iconic Bestiary Vol. 1

Classes of Legend Vol. 1
