Post by angelius »

So my group and I have 10am to 6pm to game one day this weekend but we want to take a break from C&C... darn it there's nothing to run.

Yep, I'll agree with my buds here - Star Frontiers, MF or Metamorphosis Alpha (1E or 4E).

Or . . .

OD&D using Zenopus Tower from Holmes or Quasqueton from B1.

S3 or Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure - using AD&D 1E.

WHFRP (1E or 2E) ~ The Enemy Within.

Enjoy!

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Your group could try out the Quickstart for Green Ronin's, A Song of Ice and Fire? They released the pdf free after Free RPG Day. I've read over it, and it looks very promising.

Hudson! Awesome idea. It looks really good, I think I'll run that and let you know how it goes!

I dont know if you're into it or not, but you can access all the old Marvel Super Heroes roleplaying stuff here. Fast, easy and action packed! The 4 Color System is a "generic" version of the old MSH system.

I think it would be good for a one-shot night with its easy and quick character creation and fairly intuitive rules. Just my two cents.
LD's C&C creations - CL Checker, a witch class, the half-ogre, skills, and 0-level rules

I remember Marvel Super Heroes! Loved their ratings classification system...

"How's your Strength, darling?"

"Marvelous, darling, Marvelous!"

It was a lot of fun, though. Always preferred the HERO system for supers over MSH, but that's a lot of math involved for character creation in a "one-off" game day.

Yeah! I love the MSH site.

We decided to run one of my Play By Post in real life since everyone loves it.

It's a game that meshes cyberpunk and shadowrun. Using the SIEGE engine.
