Strange Vistas, a (newish) C&C campaign blog

I basically made the switch, got the players to make new PC's, but then recycled the campaign world. Includes pics.

Welcome to the Crusade!

It sounds like the campaign is off to a good start, I think you will find that stating up NPCs is MUCH easier in C&C than in 3.5.

I like the idea of the rumor bowl, and may borrow that for my next campaign.

I also like the post game evaluation, I plan on something similar for my next campaign, where the PCs can get some bonus XPs for in game actions. For one award the players get to vote on a MVP for the night and that person gets a small XP bonus. ( I thnk this idea came from KotDT or from Hackmaster)

Actually, the Rumor Bowl is KoDT, the post-game evaluation is an invention of my own design.

Thanks for the positive feedback. For my 3.5 players, it was a lot less looking at character sheets, which they enjoyed.

One thing I don't get though is why the character sheet lacks class abilities, but includes a section for disguises owned? Anyways, keep checking back--we'll game ever week or two weeks.

Nice journal, Witterquick! Would I be very far off the mark in saying that you have more than one Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan in your group? *grins*

Keep up the good work! Can't wait to read more!

I can't figure out if a) I should continually "bump" this post with updates, b) start new threads each time, or c) not bother with updates.

Anyways, we're onto the second session:
http://strangevistas.spaces.live.com/

Just a little fun "behind the curtain" info. The PC's are three married couples, all 30+ with children (who are watched by the eldest of the children for a nominal gratuity). Gaming sessions are preceded by swimming in the pool, eating pizza, etc. One player is a long-time D&D player, three are relatively experienced, and two are novices. There's a doctor, two engineers, a social worker, and a priest. Scheduling problems keep us playing about every three weeks, but that's gaming after thirty.

Nice little journal there, indeed. I also see that we have the same taste in Reaper figures.
