Spawn of Fashan

Post by serleran »

OK, so I tracked down the creator of this game (actually, I didn't -- I just found the email address) so I contact him, and it looks like he still sells copies of the game, so I am considering getting it. A bit high, at $50, but that's alright to me. Wish it was the original version, and not a reprint, of course, but at this point, anything would be neat to see.

Anyone hany any experience with the game? At all? Not just second-hand stuff you read about someone else reading about...

Looks like a nightmare, I doubt anyone anywhere has ever played it, lol

I've only *heard* of it but I'd certainly be curious enough to leaf through it. Probably not for $50... but a part of me is a bit tempted.

I'm not sure you will find anyone with first hand experience. It's absurdly bad and expensive; two things that don't lend the game to wide distribution.

A gamer in a group I was in while in CA had this at the table. I spent about 15 to 20 minutes reading through it. I wouldn't spend a dollar on it.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
