Crusader #10

Post by Omote »

Crusader #10 is released, and wow, is it pleasent to read another issue so close to the last release. It is apparent that Jim Ward coming in board has really got the Crusader moving in the right direction.

For fans of Aihrde, there are two more particularly strong articles relating to the setting.

Now, looking forward to issue #11!

Did you receive it in the mail or was this at the Con?

Cool! Then it should theoretically be on its way to the Great White North and in my hands soon enough (hopefully).

Glad to know it is out. Jim has been, thus far, doing a great job with these -- I have every confidence that shall continue.

Was it at the con???

I got 2-9 in the raffle, so I assumed that was it.

I might have picked up #10 if it were just a few bucks (I didn't have $20 to drop on a rulebook, though).

Oh well.

OK, good to know that's it's in the mail. As always, I'll be hoping it doesn't get too mangled up!

It was mentioned in the TrollCon forums that Crusader #10 was at the show. I wasn't there though.

O.K. So if Crusader #10 is out already as is #9, then where in the heck is the PDF of Crusader #8?

I thought the PDFs were only supposed to be an issue behind? Anyone heard anything?

Probably one of the many things just a bit behind as the Trolls are cramming every effort into the pipejam that is CZ Upper Works getting done by GenCon.

Crusader 10 is definitely out -- I got my copy today. As to where the pdfs are... probably waiting to be uploaded. Steve forgets sometimes. ;)

It was at the con, actually-- on one of the revolving stands with the modules, etc. On the other hand, it was not placed on the same revolving stand as the back issues of Crusader, which may have possibly misled some people.

Just got mine out of the mailbox - only slightly bent. Grrh.

Man the front cover is beautiful . . KICK ASS!

Heck, and the cover inside with a Castle Zagyg Upper Works color advert is simply spectacular!!!

Woot!

I gotta rip into this tonight!.

See, I don't know what's worse - being at work and having to wait until I get home to possibly get my Crusader (it hasn't come yet), or getting home and it not being there!

Mine was in the mail yesterday. I was just too sick to go out and get it, or to think to have one of my kids go get it. I have it now though.

Just finished reading it - kudos again, especially as this one came out 1 month after 9, and the consistency of quality is showing!

I especially liked Steve's article on the evolution of the "Sword & Sorcery" genre.

And the Aihrde monster at the end is plain nasty

You'll be happy to know that issue 11 layout is nearly done and will be going to Steve in a day or two! We are totally committed (or should be!) to getting this magazine out quickly and consistently. So tell your friends and tell your FLGS!

I was just at Gnome games two weeks ago in Green Bay and they had it - an issue behind, but still.

My real local one is a different story.

PS Nudge Jim when you get the chance to remember to look over submissions - sent two one-shot adventures in last month.

Enjoyed the issue...though I do have to admit to being completely lost by the StarSIEGE article. Future note: a brief explaination on what the stat block means/reads included would be much helpful.

Still waiting for my copy. I've never really had a problem getting other stuff from TLG ... just the mag.

If it doesn't get here by the end of next week... I'll probably have to bug Steve again. That may not be a bad idea in itself since I'm likely to place a order for a few other things and see if he can include the missing issue (and the newer one for that matter). That is how I got issues 8 and 9 to me after all due to a problem getting issue 8.

I'm not sure if I would want to renew my subscription considering the problems I have had. It might be easier simply to order 'batches' of them or maybe see if my local Game Store will carry it (or at least get it for me). If they were posted as PDFs on a more regular basis, I would seriously consider just getting those versions.

Issue 10 would be my 3rd issue in my 6 issue subscription... with it going monthly, I'm going to have to make a decision soon.
