Genre rules are discussed and presented including pulp, science fiction and horror (though not romance).
OK, new to the forums, but I was just wondering if the intention that the CKG will still have the genre outlines (especially considering that StarSiege is coming out and covering the Sci Fi aspect)?
StarSIEGE: Event Horizon is a Sci-fi RPG based off of the SIEGE Engine but with quite a few differences from C&C. SSEH dumps anything that resembles D&D/d20 (and with it the OGL in its entirity) and just uses the SIEGE Engine as its core mechanic (including for psionics/magic, combat, general skill resolution, etc.). As such it is a different game from C&C leaving the CKG's genre conventions for porting C&C into sci-fi still valuable.
This doesn't mean there won't be interoperability between C&C and SSEH, but it will mean conversion.
So, in the end SSEH is a SIEGE Engine game while C&C is d20/OGL game that introduces the SIEGE Engine mechanic... it's a subtle difference, but an important one.
