What Current On The Anvil Project Do You Want the Most?

Post by seskis281 »

Ok, so with the loss of LA, their is obviously the chance to refocus energies into C&C specifically as the primary line. There are also other things still out there obviously separate from C&C in TLG's hopper.

What is everyone wanting to see the most?

(I am not going to include Upper Works as it is at the printers now, so effectively is going to release)

My vote goes to CKG, just because there has been so much angst over it that it will be a major moment when it is released.

(PS - Heh, just looking through the original C&C white box, I notice it really did just say PHB and M&T coming as the Core -- no mention of a CKG at ALL in that original release... but time changes things)

After the CKG, my order of wants is:

1. M&T II

2. C&C Basic (I think the idea of getting a well-crafted game into TOY stores rather than LGSs and traditional RPG distribution is an important move to push C&C)

3. A Series Mods

4. Star Siege (this will be out before the above, but my interest isn't as big as the Fantasy side, so it's less priority for me)

5. Aihrde/Inzae expansions/folios

6. Victorious - Alot of people intrigued by Mike's game I think (even tho it's not officially On The Anvil yet)

7. Melee and Cleaverthepit Games

4) Other modules

5) Other resources

oops - forgot the "other" option on the poll to cover the board games, and forgot the expansions...

heh, just list em -- if anyone ranked them first just say so in BOLD.

1. CKG

2. CZ: The Dungeons

3. CZ: Whatever the set after is going to be called
4. Star Siege (I've always wanted to do a Star Trek campaign, and I have a hunch that the SIEGE system will make it easier)

5. M&T 2 (although I can always raid the Fiend Folio or MM2, a DM can never have too many monster books )

6. Not up there, but perhaps a nice Modern-era or WW2-themed SIEGE game as well.

Should have taken the CKG right off that list. Everybody wants of piece of that it seems, AND TLG is already diligently working on it.

BAH!

Not everyone is hot for it. I can definitely wait. ITs the "A" mods I am waiting on. With Steve's daughters ordeal having an end in sight, I can get hopeful again.

I'm most looking forward to the CKG. Even though quite a few things can be brought in from other books nearly-directly or improvised, I am very interested in the "C&C Way" of doing those things. Much like how C&C itself was very shocking to me in the way it approached certain game mechanics - even compared to BD&D - I am likewise hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the CKG.

I cast my vote for Victorious! A close second would be for StarSiege. I would like to see the CKG, but I don't deem it as crucial to my enjoying of the C&C experience. Something totally new and fresh sounds good to me.

Hey, I said from day one on the introduction thread that Victorian history was a big favorite of mine! I'll buy just about any game that focuses on the period (BTW, we finally managed to get hold of a hard copy of Cthulhu by Gaslight several months ago--one of my lifelong dreams has been realized)! But I'll buy two of Mike's game because it's his--so I guess that is favoritism...

Of course, I voted CKG. But there are lots of things on the list that I'd like to have voted for as well.

Good find! Apparently Chaosium is planning on updating and reprinting Gaslight again and lending a little more support to the setting. The main author of Gaslight also mentioned that he's planning on doing a supplement called Cthulhu by Starlight as a Victorian Sci-Fi and pseudo-Space: 1889 setting.

About time! Sieg and I have been wondering for years why Chaosium hasn't reprinted CbG--nobody ever wants to give theirs up and it's so fricken hard to find, you'd think a reprint would be easy money for them. And I'm totally hyped about the Cthulhu by Starlight idea. I'm bouncing up and down in my chair right now!

No vote from me. I don't have any product favorite. But I'm happy to see that they are forthcoming and I will probably buy all of them.

My hot/dream product is hopefully shipping soon . . . CZ Upper Works!!

You know I'm a little surprised the MT 2 didn't have a better showing. The game needs more monsters by a stretch. I get the CKG, I voted for the CKG, but the MT 2 I thought more would have interest.
