General Siege: Greenlighted games

Post by cuchulainkevin »

Maybe it would be helpful to have a listing of what projects the Trolls have indicated are a go.

Right now I know that Star Siege and Victorious are in the pipeline, are there any other games that have recieved an official "yes"?

Does Ruins & Radiations fall into the SIEGE family as well?

Not for this forum - I believe Serleran is keeping that independent, though he might confirm that for us.

It is a SIEGE game, but not a Troll Lord product, so it is off top for this section of the boards.

Indeed, I am doing a Pulp game. The writing is done; there's only playtest, editing and layout to do. I wanted the Trolls to know right up front that I'd be a freelancer they could count on, so when Steve agreed to look at what I had for this idea...I sent him a near-complete draft.

A week or two later, he had the full draft in hand. We've been negotiating the terms, and just came to an agreement. I'm really, really excited to be working with the Trolls and, after doing lots of time writing supplements for various people and games, at last putting out my first core game, with their branding and using the SIEGE engine. I've been a fan of TLG for some time, now, and I think Castles & Crusades is the REAL D&D third edition. So I'm thrilled to be able to add to their already stellar product line.

Anyway, yeah. I guess you could say that Pulp SIEGE is on deck for going on the anvil. I think and hope you all will really dig it.

Hey, it's the "elusive" Mac Golden. So, is that all you can say about the new game?

details

Post by Mac Golden »

Yea, for right now. A week earlier I would have posted details, but it looks like it will have to undergo some revision now. I'm going to talk to Steve about it.

In other news, the revised and expanded C&C edition of "Fantastic Adventure" is well on its way to completion.

Wow, pretty soon there is gonna be a dozen different flavors of the Siege Engine.

A load of strawberries, a load of cookies n cream, a load of tiramisu, splat, splat, splat.

Hmm, maybe 31 flavors is better. 31 flavors of trebuchet!

heart of glass

I'll let Steve know about Heart of Glass. That mod was not as well received as it should have been.

This is GREAT news! The Fantastic Adventure is truly one of my favorites. I've ran it for C&C (doing the conversion on the fly) and it was the adventure I chose to kick start my C&C campaign with about 2 years ago now.

Alas... poor poor Octo. He didn't fair too well.

Though I haven't had the pleasure to run it... it looked solid enough. I would love to see a proper C&C treatment of it.

Thanks so much Moriarty (wait a minute, a devout Sherlock Holmes fan thanking Moriarty?!!?!? )

Really though, thank you. Alas poor Octo, I knew thee well. One of my favorite NPCs I have ever ran. He really sets the players on edge.

Fantastic Adventure was a fun read, but I never had a chance to run it with my old group. I look forward to the C&C edition.

Let me add my vote for a Heart of Glass remake. That was a cool book; not only did we get a great adventure, but the setting material was very valuable.

Why not add Winter Runes to the list while I'm at it?

Sorry... I'd thought that everyone was talking about Mordenkainen's Fantastic Adventure, the old RJK module, and was trying to ask in a roundabout way.

Sorry, would have chimed in earlier but I've been gone on vacation for the last two weeks and still trying to catch up on things! Yes, the game has been written (albeit, more than likely needs editing ) and the artwork (by Jim Holloway) has been submitted. That darn Castle Zagyg thingy is getting in the way!!
On a semi-related note, I was able to stop by Jim Holloway's place for a few hours during my vacation. Had some great Tempura food and went over some "business-type" things too! Had a great time!

Or even a WWII Siege Engine game! If anyone was inclined to create one, that is.

i'm betting (guessing) Mac is doing a horror themed Siege.

Maybe: FrankenSiege or BloodSiege or Necronomisiege.
Or then again it could be a Chutes and Ladders Siege Clone.

Slides and Stairs Siege
