Getting married today!

Post by dachda »

Hi all,

I'm Maine today about to get married! Managed to play some C&C as a pre-bachelor party event, but then we just switched over to the drinking. Wish me luck!

You have my deepest sympathies...

I mean congradulations!!!!!!
Seriously, have a great day and good luck with your marriage.

One bit of advice, even if there's a temptation on your part to party it up- don't... be gracious, considerate (to the wife), responsible and semi-sober.

Give the wife this day to shine.

It'll pay dividends later in your marriage.

Congratulations... too bad you missed the big, big day yesterday... there was a jam at City Hall when I walked past.

Maybe I should say... congratulations and congratulations on avoiding the crowd at City Hall

Congrats! Marriage can be a great thing. You just have to be marrying the right woman and she has to be marrying the right man. Then you both have to want it to work.

So hopefully your marriage is to be one of those that are good and happy, like mine.

So best of wishes to a long, prosperous, and happy marriage.

Congratulations! Everyone always makes jokes about losing your independence, ability to enjoy life as you choose, your soul, etc.

The sad part is that it's mostly true.
Enjoy....you sad sack of shit!

As a young widower, all I can say is act as if you are going to be together forever while cherishing each moment you can. Never forget today and you will be together for the long haul.

On a day like today, maybe it is fitting that my regular game got canceled at the last minute, which led me to dig up and run through the Tomb of Horrors instead!

Marriage... like this classic dungeon... may feel like a trap with which there can be no escape. Yet, you still want to play it and invariably enjoy the experience!

Congrats!

...

As a side note -- the party is either doing very well, being very lucky, or I'm being too kind. Only two characters have died (but I allowed them to be resurrected by the 14th level Cleric) but I let another two 'off-the-hook' so to speak and their fates was not as deadly as they could have been.

Thanks for all the kind words (well most of ya). Ceremony went well, reception party rocked. Had to pay the DJ for an extra 3 hours, cause no one wanted to stop dancing.

the new wife isn't a gamer, but is smart enough to know my gaming hobby is better than me meeting the guys at the local bar several times a month!

Introduced two guys to C&C at the pre-bachelor party C&C one-off I ran. To thank the fella who organized the party I'm giving him a PHB. Hoping to introduce coastal Maine to the crusade.

Now I'm heading back to Oregon. the honeymoon gets postponed until December when I will finish law school. then its off to Puerto Rico in winter, for some fun in the sun.

Sounds like a fun time was had by everyone--congratulations, and may you both be as happy together in twenty years as you are now!
