Celebrity RPGing

Post by CharlieRock »

If you could pick anybody;

What celebrity would you pick to play C&C with
Alive or Dead, a gamer in reality or not.

Same question basically, but who would you pick to CK
Besides Gygax or somebody else already in the industry.

I would pick George Lucas to CK, because he would probably have the best game aids. (like a holographic game table, lol)

And to play beside ... the Rock Because he would know his role

To run the game -- either HP Lovecraft or EA Poe, or possibly Aleister Crowley.

To game with -- whichever of those did not run it.

To CK: Patrick Stewart. Great narrative voice.

To PLay: Jessica Alba because...well because then she'd be sitting at the table.

Oh, and besides.

Patrick Stewart could use his powers to make all of Jessica Alba's clothes just fly off. She'd try to hurry up and cover herself, but it'd be too late. We'd have already seen everything.

Anne McCaffrey

Brian Jacques (Deogolf )

Julius Caesar

Clint Eastwood

Steve McQueen

James Coburn

Ghenghis Khan

Frank Herbert

William Shakespeare

Joan of Arc

Buster Keaton

Orson Welles

C3PO

Sean Connery

Whew . . .

My dream celebrity table:

Marcus Tullius Cicero (who I believe would probably play a cleric)

Richard I the Lionhearted

James Cagney

Toshiro Mifune

Theodore Roosevelt (who'd probably insist on being CK )

and Robin Williams (who really is/was a D&D player)

James Earl Jones as CK (the voice....he's got the VOICE!)

Players: Robin Williams, Tom Massey, the Progressive Commercial Lady, Patrick Stewart, & Penelope Cruz

CK:

- Gary Gygax: don't have to explain this one

- Ridley Scott: capable of turning just about any premise into something exciting and interesting

- Spike Lee: will never fail to get the characters motivated to fight against evil

Players:

- Harrison Ford: well-known for getting the most out of awful scripts, knows how to deal with the worst of directors

- David Hayter: always makes the extra effort to "get it" and be immersed

- James Earl Jones: he can really bring out both the best and the worst aspects of a character

- Cam Clarke: there will never be a dull moment with him around

- Edward James Olmos: range of emotion

- Charlie Murphy: two words: player skill, and in every sense of those two words. I'd trust him, more than anyone else, to figure out how to escape from certain death and clear out a dungeon without getting killed.

I'd like to play C&C with these celeb peeps:

Jeffrey Combs

Sam Raimi

Bruce Campbell

John Woo

Quentin Tarentino

Robert Rodriguez

Julian McMahon

Guillermo Del Toro

Ian McShane

Bill Nighy

Simon Pegg

Nick Frost

Vin Diesel

Alan Rickman

Jonathan Frakes

Peter Jackson

* The Angry Video Game Nerd

Sir Ian McKellen

Shirley Manson

* There are many others, but they are not celebs in the traditional sense of the term so I will not menion them

As for the CK, that is a tough choice. Since I don't know too many celebs in person, I can;t say if I'd ever want them to run a game that I was in. But i would never pass up the chance.

How about which celebrities would you not want to play with?

For CK:

Albert "God does not play dice" Einstein: "You are dead because I say so; no, you don't get a saving throw - God does not play dice."

Players:

Werner Heisenburg

Erwin Schrdinger: "Vat do you mean, we're dead. Has anyone observed us to be so? If so then you have split the universe into two, one in which our killer sees us dead and another in which he sees us alive! Now the alternate universe us's open a box and throw a cat that may be dead or alive at our attacker then we push him across the event horizon of a black hole - ha, take zat, Mr. Smartypants relativist!

You have the bestest picks so far.

I would liked to have played in one of Gary's games.

I think JRR Tolkien would have loved fantasy role playing, I would have liked to have played with him.

As far as other players:

Alan Rickman

Matthew Broderick (sp)

Jim Carey

David Tennant (Dr. Who)

EDIT: Forgot to add Brendan Fraser

Oh yeah...Alan and David would be a hoot and a hollar. If anyone could keep a straight face long enough to actually play.
