With the recent news about CZ, it seems like that is yet another revenue stream that is disappearing. However, there is a silver lining in this situation; the opportunity costs of producing someone else's IP is much higher than creating material for one's own. Resources can be shifted to core C&C products, which is great news for the CKG, C&C Basic, and scores of other TLG fully owned products.

I know the situation is probably emotional draining, but ya'll have supporters around the world; and from last report, are having a successful year financially. Perhaps you can't continue Gary's legacy in fact, but TLG has his personal blessing and you can continue his legacy in spirit!

Honestly, I'm not all that surprised or phased by this. If Gail is determined to be this decade's Lorraine Williams, so be it.

I was looking forward t eventually purchasing CZ:UW (after I'd finished adventuring in it in BMs game), but since there is no end in view for the series now, I probably won't bother. So any revenue stream she would have had by me is at an end before it even began.

I picked up C&C for many good reasons, but one of the paramount ones was that it is completely backwards compatible with all my old D&D stuff. So she can play power games with Gygax's fans and we can get on with playing actual games with the mountain of classic material Gygax created in the games heyday and left as his true legacy...

This is not going to impact TLG all that much. A ripple, no more. There is plenty of work being refocused on. Aihrde, Inzae, Haunted Highlands, various Siege Games and so forth. Shore up and soldier on.

Let's hope this is not the case. I can't believe she would purposely hurt Gary's legacy. I have hope that things will work out with Troll Lord and Gail.

TLG and Gary worked so tightly together the last 7-8 years- that I can't imagine someone else stepping in and producing a "Gary" product that would not include them. They know intimately what his plans and designs were- that it could be published and have the authenticity for gamers that this is Gary's work and vision.

Fingers crossed for behind the scenes negotiating to put things back on track.

Yeah, I'm hoping that it's not as Luther is making it sound. I'm keeping the mindset that an announcement was not made yet, so it's no reason to stress just yet.

The loss of CZ would be a blow, but C&C remains the premiere version of D&D on the market at this point and I'll continue to support TLG's work so long as the quality of the product remains high.

In light of the info in the latest Crusader, I'm looking forward to the CKG more now than ever, and I'm very much anticipating further development of the Darkenfold, the Haunted Highlands, and Inzae. Keep the good stuff coming, Trolls!

Three years ago, all of this might have seriously hurt (but not killed) C&C and TLG.

I thinks the system and the company are strong enough to do their own thing now. They have a great game, strong IP's of their own, one of the few monthly gaming magazines in print, a strong and loyal fan-base, and creative future released planned.

All in all, I think they are in one of the stronger positions in the rpg industry.
