Hi folks -
Due to the size of the article I submitted, Hammer & Anvil will not appear in Issue #13, and will instead be in Issue #14. It's the final article in the Campaign Setting series, and deals with spells and magic.
Starting with issue #15, I will be back on topics that can be addressed in single issues. I have several ideas I am working, but I am also interested in knowing if there's anything the readership would like to see.
The focus of the column is on building blocks for games - how to create things, tweak things, run them, give them more depth. Any requests you might have along those lines would be welcome. Again, I have ideas of my own, but I'd rather please the customer.
Right now, I plan to cover:
- Tweaking monsters - tips for making monsters unique without getting tied up in formalities.
- Types of poisons - I saw a documentary on Discovery channel and I thought it'd be neat to apply that to C&C and give more data for those wishing to have poisons be more detailed in their campaigns.
- Spell creation - the dos and don'ts of adding new spells to the game.
I might be convinced to put in a short adventure based in the setting I've been writing about, as well. That's low on my list because I don't want to make it a "continuation" of the Campaign Setting series, but I'll put it in if people would like it.

Great ideas, though I'd love to see the Spell Creation first, then Tweaking Monsters, and lastly the poison article.
Just my two cents based on how my campaign has been progressing. My players are interested in more spells, but I'm not sure how to do so and keep game balance. So any tips on spell creation would be great.
I've enjoyed your articles so far, informative and well written, looking forward to more!

Well, I already have things covered with the books I own, but you may want to address land ownership and having men at arms, hirelings etc...
If TLG is going to do a new GW series use it as sneak peak type of advertising. Being strongly influenced by the 1E DMG would be a good thing too.
Not only address these things, but give advice and scenarios to run based around land ownership, having henchmen, politically/religious based adventure scenarios, etc...

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

i would prefer something less obvious, such as henchmen or hirelings, as mentioned above by treebore. also, subtle ways to implement culture shock, such as a barbarian, ranger, or druid in a city.

Interesting suggestions, guys. Thank you.
The land ownership topic is one that I'd like to see addressed, as well. I'm positive that Sieg is more qualified to write about that topic than I am, though. I could do the research but he's likely to be able to write intelligently on the topic off the top of his head.
Adventure hooks regarding land ownership I definitely can do, though I'd only scratch the surface and I probably wouldn't use many of the nuances.
I will pass that along to him for a possible Auld Wyrmish article.
I will definitely discuss adding spells to the game. I touched upon some of the guidelines in the #14 submission, but that was tailored toward the described setting and not for use as generic set of rules. The topic definitely deserves more attention.

I have to say I rather enjoyed this months H&A on how classes were modified or removed from the setting to give the setting depth of flavor, etc...
