Shindolay

Post by DangerDwarf »

Looking for information on Shindolay. I've scored a few tidbits here and there but looking for references in the Codex and/or Folio.

Anyone that could toss some page numbers out there would be much appreciated.

Hmm, my memory fails me at the moment. The name is familiar, but remind me where you see a reference to it.

Ahh, yes ~ some of it comes back to me now.

Heh, everytime these questions come up, I wish I had a PDF of the Codex. It's so packed with info, that it's had to find stuff. Even with the enhanced index PDF, Shindolay isn't listed.

Anywho, I played a Lunar Knight in Treebore's game last year. They consisted of Elves (among others) who didn't flee to Shindolay, but stayed to battle during the Winter Dark.

I'm gathering that Setiva, was one of the elves who fled, but for some reason returned and then used the famed sword Discerpo to cut one horn off Unklar's head before he was banished to the void (page 47).

I'll try to poke around for some more info on Shindolay . . and if you find anything, let us know.

Sounds like some mythical kingdom/area like Shangri-La or El Dorado.

Rhuvein,

Did I read your post correctly: is there an enhanced index on pdf of the Codex of Erde?

If yes, where would I find it?

thanks.

Yes, that PDF and a couple of others used to be available as free downloads on the old site. Somewhere Steve mentioned he was going to have aztecman make them available on the new site.

I don't see them in the DL section (support), so I'm emailing it to ya.

Rhu.

DD, there's also an article on the Mist Elves in Crusader 4, if you have it.

While it briefly mentions Shindolay, it's more about Meltowg Lothian and those elves who stayed to fight in the open during the Winter Dark. And some additional stuff on the Lunar Knights.

But the article is still of interest (and part of the continuing Aihrdian Chronicles).

Yeah, I've got Crusader #4 floating around here somewhere.

Thanks for the info too Rhu. I've got some other stuff on my plate right now,but I'm doing some planning for a campaign down the road when I finish my current games.

Let me dig that index out. I'm working with brian on some cosmetic stuff for the website. I thought all those old pdfs were still up. I"ll have to track them down and send them over.

There is more written on Shindolay than published, what would you like to know.
