*Previews* for my Blackmoor PbPs

Post by Ivid »

Hiya,

I made these here for my players and thought you might find them worth looking at... The Grim Winter
The War of the Thieves

Nothing too special, but, in all modesty, I think I found some nice fantasy drawings that match with the game situation...

Yours,

Rafael

I've been assuming you just use google-fu to find all the illustrations you've been using, or has all of it been from one or two sites?
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

I've tried the links but it takes me to a login screen for a set of forums...

Yeah, those links lead to a "members only" section, and I don't want to register just to look.

I'm a member of the Blackmoor website, and of one of his PbP's, so that explains why I could see them. I posted on the site that he needs to come back here, so hopefully he'll put them somewhere you guys can see.

Basically he finds art on the web that illustrates the "mood" or situation of given game events to help us get into it better. It works for me. Besides, he finds some very cool artwork.

Here goes the first preview:
The War of Ten has begun...

And while Baron Ungulian's troops advance against Zugzul and the hordes of Starmorgan...

The Company of the Maiden, beaten, and mourning the loss of brave Draussa and Path, has to stand in its very own crusade...

To restore the honour of Sven's family...

To rescue Draussa from whatever ill fate may awake her...

And to bring peace to these ravaged lands...
The Grim Winter awaits you!

And here goes the second one:
You may have survived the first attack of the Demon Lord's minions, and found this dubious shelter...

But is this enough to save you from the horrors that dwell in the abandoned city...?

Meet old and new companions...

Venture deep into the depths of the lost realms of old...

And face that the price for glory may be higher than you expected it to be...

Warriors, keep take up your blades and your shields for what will be the next chapter of...
The War of the Thieves

Those illus are basically from my own home archive - in my youngers years, I was interested in becoming an illustrator or graphical designer and used those pics to learn...

Which ended in me choosing another career, but having 2 GB of fantasy illustrations on my PC...

Thank you - after all, I can enjoy my work there only as long as you and the other players aproove it.
The main designers I take my inspiration for our games from are, btw, Yoshitaka Amano, Timothy Truman, Mutsumi Inomata, and Talon Dunning.

If you like, check their online archives for a lot of splendid fantasy artwork.

You're welcome - actually, this is nothing but naked self-promotion for my games, in the end...

Thank you! I almost chose your avatar, gleepwurp, for one of the adventures will feature some very nice kobold scenes...
Hint, hint: Actually, I have six drunken kobolds in my own home campaigns that travel through BM and the north and have set as their goal to visit and get drunk in EVERY inn of the world...

Phil, Mil, Bill, Chill, Thrill and... Boromir are their names...

Nice pictures, I am sure they will help illustrate an interesting campaign nicely. The half goat, half man picture is a little disconcerting though, does he have three legs?
