Issue 13 is late

Post by James M. Ward »

I'm sorry to say issue 13 is late. We've had a death in the family and the printing presses needed a few things. We are struggling hard to get it out this week. It's all written and int he can, but late which is irritating all of us here at Troll Lords.

Just as a point of interest this is the rough outline we used for this issue:

Outline for Crusader Issue 13

Page 1 Table of Contents and Legal Material

Page 2-12 -- Gary Gygax page

Pages 13-18 -- CGAA Guide

Pages 19 -- Airship Review

Pages 20 -- Angry Gamer

Pages 21-25 -- Dweomercraeters Den

Pages 26-29 -- Troll Fiction

Pages 30-31 -- Monster

Pages 32 -- OGL

Inside Front Cover -- Upper Works Full Page Ad

Inside Back Cover -- Tower of Adventure Full Page Ad

Front Cover -- Upper Works product cover

Back Cover -- StarSiege full page Ad

We diverted a little from this, but not by much.

Just so you know 14 is also almost in the can and could be printing by the end of next week with any luck.

Again I'm sorry for the lateness, but life happens. We are really doing our best and hope you fans will continue to resubscribe to the magazine. It's going to 36 pages in December.

Best regards,

James M. Ward

Hi Jim.

Sorry to hear of your loss. No worries. I think most, if not all of us understand real life situ's.

I'm very thrilled about the issues getting published faster and on track.

The monthly sub is just fantastic and . . as I've told Steve, count me in as a life subscriber.

Oh, and 36 pages is . . .
[Btw, Jim - is it really you or one of your androids?]

With the regularity that the Crusader is coming out now, waiting another week or two is never a problem!

LONG LIVE THE CRUSADER!!!

I really appreciate the fans of Troll Lords and Crusader. We will get better and better as time goes on. I'm working toward getting two months ahead in the magazine and I know it's possible because I did it at TSR with DRAGON and that was 128 pages. Of course we had a staff of six people.

Thanks for the words of support, they are always appreciated.

Don't ever think that your efforts with this magazine goes unappreciated either. A resounding THANKS!

Of course, I'm thinking of an issue that comes close to Dragon's 128 page count. Wouldn't that be sweet!

It's all understandable. I was hoping to see #13 earlier but life happens. The nice thing is we'll get two issues almost back to back.

Is that in copper, silver, gold, or platinum?

Condolences to your family on the loss of a loved one, James.

I'm still used to getting the Crusader "whenever", so being a few weeks late is nothing big to me.
