Did anyone else notice the glaring omission from Steve's supply list?
Anyone?
Duct tape.

Interesting read. Perhaps I am reading to much into it, but it seems at the end of this recent blog that Mr. Troll Lord can;t quite see what 2009 will bring. Is that a good thing? Set some goals and go for it! Let's make 2009 and even better year for Castles & Crusades!

Quite the contrary my friend. What your reading is my desire to get everything battle ready for what's likely to be a very hectic and almost crazy 5 months. January to May is already too packed with product. Revenue will be tight and time will be even tighter. And much of it, very much of it will be Castles & Crusades....I'm presently staring at no less than five hardback releases for C&C, A6-A10, monthly Crusader, new screens, two HH books as well as a smattering of pdf releases. But before this we'll expand out operations (hopefully) in the very first week of the year, which will increase our own in house capabilities, generate (hopefully) a whole new source of revenue and set us up for all these releases.
One of the things that always knocks us off our game are the mundane day to day operations of the biz, from running quarterly sales reports to taking half a day off to get shipping boxes. Well, I'm anticipating this.
Its going to be a wild ride, but one I firmly believe will see C&C and TLG grow into even a stronger position.
I'm actually very excited about 2009!
Steve

Now that's a good answer! I guess I did read that the wrong way. My bad. Good luck guys, in all your endeavors.

Steve said "no less than five hardback releases for C&C".
Let's see, one must be the CKG, a second would be the 'Of Gods and Monsters'.
So, is he counting the 4th print of PHB and 3rd print of M&T?
OR is he saying, M&T II, and Monsters of Airhde?
'Cause if you count them all, then that's 6 hardback releases.
But if Steve is not counting the new prints of PHB and M&T what is the 5th release to be?

Well, either you read it the wrong way, or more than likely I wrote it the wrong way. Sometimes my ramblings do not impart my own excitement. And this has been a very, very tumultuous year. So no bad on your part my friend!

Players Handbook, 4th Printing
Monsters & Treasure, 3rd Printing
Castle Keepers Guide, 2nd Printing
Halls of Adventure
Of Gods & Monsters
Those are the hardback books set to come out in the near future. All are largely done (CKG and Gods needs some sections done and others are still very rough) and only in need of revisions, playtesting etc etc.
These will sport a new 'look' as well. Which is nothing real exciting to your grizzled veterans, but will allow me to re-introduce the game to the retail and book trade side of things.
This doesn't even mention the Star Siege material we are working on (that game has done very well in the market), nor the Swords & Sorcery we are working on, nor Harvesters, Victorious, Pulp Siege...of course these are all set for later in 2009.

This is the second time I have seen a CKG second printing mentioned. Where the heck is the first printing?

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Dude, you missed it? It was the must have release of the year in 2008!
Make me an offer on one of my Xtra copies...

Its in the typo errata that Steve posts on boards a lot.

Come on, why tease Tree? He missed out is all.
I'm starting to think that you're not proud of the 2 page centerfold art that you put on pages 127-128.
I'll give you a hint Tree, think a "homage" painting of Aleena and Eclavdra...with whips and chainmail bikinis.

Of course! I have seasons 1-3 on DVD. And when I can find season 4 for a decent price, I'll add that to my collection. Same same for season 5 when it rolls out next year.
