There is a lot of depth to what I want to run, so the longer we can play the better. I would like to start around 8 PM EST if possible.

Premise:

Baron Amter is having problems with a trading port to the south, named Punjar. It is a corrupt port town that is becoming a bit more corrupt. A war of sorts has broken out between the "official" thieves guild and the unrecognized beggars guild.

The Baron was happy seeing evil destroy evil but things have changed. Informants have informed the Baron of creatures of shadow becoming involved. Divinations have warned the Baron that these "creatures of shadow" will soon start killing "innocents".

Being first and foremost a Paladin of Tyr the Baron wishes to put together a group from the mercenaries who have been working for him locally and send them to Punjar to get these creatures of Shadows under control. Meaning destroyed. He also wishes for the group to "flex some muscle" against the thieves guild to enourage them to not get too out of hand since the Baron can send people of means to send a stronger message if they can't take the hint. Plus hopefully spread good will towards the Baron among the populace.

The Baron is willing to equip you with horses, to keep, as well as 250 GP for each person up front to cover expenses and pay. Further rewards will be determined upon success and return to the Barons lands.

If someone plays who can start up Maptools, thats what we will use. Otherwise its OpenRPG.

I hope we can use the maptools program, the author of the module I want to use is looking to hook me up with digital versions of the maps.

BTW, the module influencing me/us is DCC 53: Sellswords of Punjar, written by Harley Stroh. Yes, its 4E, but we are using C&C, so we don't care.

Well, it is a free download and doesn't take long. Except for dial up. That would take a long time. Plus the chat that goes along with it make sit easier for passing links and files back and forth.

Ditto, Skype is really simple to set up. Takes only a few minutes. Well worth the effort. Some issues with connectivity with dropped calls, but by far the best chat program I've used. I wouldn't use anything else.

Maptool Tree. I think if Josh is around, I'm sure he would set it up for you.
