Short Adventure Suggestions?

Post by Hammer »

I have been browsing the forums the past couple of days to get the feel for a good Short Adventure module.

This is Not a Face to Face table top game, but an online Short Adventure where the CK writes up the scenario [after recruiting players and characters get created] and then the Players write several sentences or a few paragraphs regarding their character's thoughts, actions, responses etc to whatever has been written.

Then the CK advances the adventure according to what the Players have written and the adventure proceeds accordingly.

I play over at the Red Dragon Inn and want to introduce a Short Adventure sometime in 2009, probably after the "Gods" booklet is released and possibly after the CK Guide is released as well.

Already have posted a notice for a Campaign that will be starting up sometime in March or April based on the Upper Works module that I ordered a few days ago.

Just want some fresh ideas about a Short Adventure scenario that may or may not end up expanding further, depending upon Player participation and how the Short Adventure plays out with the participants.

See, I have a hard time with this one, because modules often go beyond the written word for me. Take on a life of their own. Anyways, the free downloads on the TLG website are probably your bets bets.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Look at your typical action adventure flick. Plot mover person comes in with an offer for our swaggering hero to either transport and or find the magic maguffin. This magic maguffin is a key to further said plot, and attracts many plot foils, aka villains.

Your magic maguffin can be as silly as something like the smoking pipe in the first National Treasure movie, or as elaborate as the egg plot moving device in the Mummy 3.
