How is this for a replacement Conventioneering hat, O?

Hmm, I'm not so sure about the new convention hat. Reason #1: though a damn fine headpice it is, I can't yet think of one cool line you can use with the Lobster Hat on the con chicks. "Care for a nip?" Reason #2: you look more like a bad hentai tenticle monster... Wait, maybe YOU ARE ON TO SOMETHING HERE.

PS: I don't believe I have ever seen or heard of sombody going as the Lusitania for a costume. Bravo. Going down all hands on board are ye?

Well, what else do you wear with your flaming suspenders if not a torpedoed ocean liner? What? Too soon?

There's a picture someplace of two or three girls inside the boat. I'll try to find it.

Egypt cat = phat!

Nice work, Jay - really fabulous.

I've got him/her as my PC desktop. Yep, Sir Winston is on hiatus.

Cats rule and my new dog Delilah drools.

Woof, woof!

Here's a little something I put together for the North Texas RPG Convention's promotional flyers. I wanted it to be fast, fun and old-schoolie.

Thanks, O. Surprisingly, I didn't get any flak for having a green dragon snorting flames.

Saturday only! Timing will depend on who wants to come with me. Logistics, and all of that. If I'm flying solo, I'll be there earlier in the day.

Here's a little Work-In-Progress action, since it's been so long since I've posted anything. I'm going to be displaying at a few wine/revelry-related events in the coming weeks, so I figured a nice stylized satyr would be fun.

Here's Day 1!

In the next few days, I'll flesh out the greenery in the foreground (currently the purplery), add some grapevines and clusters, and polish up our hero. Perhaps add a hare darting off into the thicket, as satyrs were sometimes associated with those horny little beasts.

Updates as they happen! I'd like to have the whole thing done in time to hang Monday evening.

That piece makes me want to dance naked in a field drinking wine. That is all.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. Finished the piece this weekend, just in time to hang it in a gallery tonight.

Here are a couple more WIP's:

The final thing (shot with my iPhone, so it's not the best):

And a detail of the Easter bunny:

You always say that, Rigon. Just like your other catchphrase, "F***er, Nate!"

Thanks guys, I'm glad you like it. I went and hung the paintings up at the gallery space tonight and was delighted to find that I had more room than I thought I would. So, it looks like maybe I'll finish one or two in-progress pieces in the next few days and add those before the show opens on Friday.

Pics here as they happen.
