serleran's axe

Post by serleran »

I was messing around while at work and had a brief period of time where my hands just did whatever they wanted, and this came out. It's the first thing I've drawn in a very long time, so it probably has severe flaws and all that sort of thing, and is also very basic, but I figured I'd at least try to share and see what others thought anyway...

So, with silence to do further:

when I forst saw it I thought it was a tatoo - the "paper " looks like it has some dark hair on it ---

Do not be hard on yourself

whenever designing a weapon - I decide whether I am doing it in the realms of the fantastic or if I want it to be more grounded in reality- this weapon falls right in the middle- I like the handle design and the lanyard hole is a nice detail as well

Just some general information:

The "paper" would be a piece of cardboard that is being used as my mouse pad. I am not sure where the "hair" is, but there have been several things drawn on it and then erased, leaving some black residue.

Thank you for the kind words, though. The proportion is likely a little off as the handle is somewhat short, given the much larger blade, so it could be a hand axe or maybe a shortened battle-axe. I tend to like big curvy axes, and so that is what I tend to draw, when I can get them to come out (rare.)
