Castle Zagyg product line followed by Gygaxian Fantasy World series. Both no longer available.

So, of those which are still purchasable:

A-Series then the DB series and then SG1 and StarSIEGE (roughly equal in my eyes.)

Hmm, a very tough question indeed.

I'd have to say...

C&C White Collector's Box

Yggsburgh

Castle Zagyg ~ The Upper Works

Worldbuilder

These would be my top 3 choices. Bus as they are now OOP, that would next leave the following as the best currently on the market:

...

I just can't say at this point. More thinking must be done.

Man, that's so unfair! I like about 3-4 best products.

If I had to pick one, I'd have to say Living Fantasy.

Now a Top 5...that would be sweet!

Living Fantasy

Engineering Dungeons

Arms & Armor

Upper Works

Yggsburgh

As a GM I have to say Worlbuilder. That book was simply amazing and useful every time I crafted an adventure (so pretty much weekly).

For me its still the Gygaxian Fantasy World series. I wish the books would continue to come out - even if Gary's name was no longer attached to them.

I heartily agree, Egg (nice to see you over here, btw). They are quite invaluable references, IMHO. I haven't collected them all (still without The Canting Crew and Insidae) but they're on my list.

I got to go with Gygaxian Fantasy World series and Engineering Dungeons. Those books are the most useful for me and my C&C games.

Upper Works. There's some other products I really like (Haunted Highlands series) but UW is the best thing TLG has done.

1. Upper Works

2. The C modules - Mortality of Green and Shades of Mist (love em!)

3. The After Winter's Dark Folio (most engaging setting for me since the original Greyhawk)

4. The C&C Collector's White Box

And then it gets really hard because I also like: StarSiege, Castellan's Guide, Engioneering Dungeons, the A mods, Yggsburgh, Towers of Adventure and on and on...., but those 3 stand out as my fav products so far.

Best?

Well, if we included D20 I would say Winter Runes.

I would have to go with the Gygax World books as well.

Still in print? Well, since the A series has formed such an awesome core to my home campaign, I'll go with that. The "A series", with over 4000 sold!

Thanks for the greetings. I don't get here nearly as often as I'd like.

I'm guessing the revised Canting Crew was scrubbed along with the remainder of the series? A real bummer. My sympathies to the folks working on Gary's licensed works only to have the rug pulled out from under their feet . . .

Well, I think my favorite issue of the Crusader is #15. And as for the best product I would say Crusader as a magazine line if they continue to be as good as this last one.

You're quite welcome...and don't be a stranger!
I completely forgot about the rereleasing of the GFW line. I would have liked to see them get republished, too, and I agree it must have been terrible to those working on the line. And the fact that we still know almost nothing about CZ and GFW keeps the wounds fresh, IMHO.

With TLG, I'm happy to say there have been so many great products.

In terms of d20 Erde, I'd have to say either the Codex or the Winter Runes book.

In terms of the GFW series, my favorite of the lot was Living Fantasy (probably seconded by World Builder).

With the Zagyg stuff, the Upper Works was absolutely fantastic (and thus my pick) but I'll always have a soft spot for my signed Eastmark Folio.

It's hard to pick on for C&C though since, aside from the various modules, there have been few accessories that stand out apart and above all the rest. They are all good. However, I'm greatly anticipating a few things that have yet to be released and I'm suspecting those may actually end up coming up ahead.

My 2 favorites are:

CZ: The Upper Works

CZ: The Eastmark Gazetteer

I've been reading through the folio here and there the last bit and I'm really impressed with it. I think that it and the Codex of Erde are definitely in the running for my TLG favs these days.

Re: C&C-ing of Canting Crew... I agree, real bummer. Especially since Steve put me to work doing the C&C conversion only weeks before the license yank.
My fave? The Victorious! Box Set!

(Hey if others can vote for the CKG I can vote for V! )

Yeah, Egg...don't be a stranger over here!

Don't worry, that's what government subsidizing is for. At least you'll feel better that your tax dollars are going towards something of use... like and RPG habit.
