A Call for Module Submissions

Post by Coleston the Cavalier »

Brave Halfling Publishing is Joining the Crusade! (WOOT!)

I am making preparations to begin releasing Castles & Crusades material in a few months and I wanted to let you all know that I am currently taking submissions for adventures.

What I am looking for right now are adventures of any level that are generic enough to be dropped into anyone's campaign but unique enough to call attention to themselves. These adventures need to be around 8-12 pages in length.

Please contact me by email for further details.

Cool. As a potential consumer I'm curious if your releases are planned for print or PDF?

That would be a "yes."
The modules will come out in print first and then as a pdf later.

However, when you buy a print version from BHP (website in the works) you will get a pdf version emailed to you asap.

If all goes well, we might have our first one ready by the end of March.

I posted a question over in the DA Boss area on your site but really maybe it would be better asked here.

Also including Castles and Crusades adventures is a very good move in my opinion. I am happy to read this as it opens a new avenue for me to become involved

Although I play LL from time to time my main creations are for either C&C or LA.

I do have a question though. What agreement if any did you reach in this regards with the Trolls? I am aware of several posts over on their boards about how easy it would be to do this but lack any legal knowledge or contacts that would help understand how one would go about it.

Thanks!

Sorry to double work you! I'll go post the answer over there if you answer here so that others wondering the same thing will have the info.

No, I can't talk about that.

It involved an arcane ritual and the promise of a great deal of beer.

*chuckles* Well... One, its not really encouraged to talk publicly about what sort of agreements one reaches with the Trolls. But anyone with a phone has the 'contact' needed to find out 'how one would go about it'.

In short. Call Steve and ask!

I wasn't looking for details to be honest but just a general idea. Something along the lines of the Trolls and I talked it out and reached a agreement so that we can use the Castles and Crusades logo or TLG doesn't mind a 3rd party source printing games compatable with C&C as long as no copy written matterial is used ect..

If the name Castles and Crusades can be used on the cover I would be much more likely to submit proposals.

If this was a inappropriate quetion I apologize. I am sadly a Publishing Noob

And this is the kind of stuff you need to call Steve and ask.
