Young'ns at TrollCon?

Post by CKDad »

Thinking of coming down and bringing my son, who'd be a week shy of 12. We play C&C and occasionally other games (stuff like Roborally, Lord of the Fries etc.), though he probably wouldn't want to game the whole time. Am I nuts for contemplating this? Would a younger player be welcome?

Any player is welcome, doesn't matter the age.

Hey man,

Absolutely bring the youngins. We are trying to encourage that. We are going to run a game of Harvesters at least for the younger kids.

It is nice to note that one of the better motion picture houses in Little Rock is about 3 blocks from the hotel...well Arkansas blocks. But its about 5 minutes.

Sounds good. Definitely going to try and make sure my son will get on board for this.

Kim's (IIR his name correctly) son seemed to have fun last year, so sure, bring the kids.

Yep, that's me. And my boy, Jake, had an awesome time. He was eight. He is already planning on being at the next one. Steve ran a very good game, Jake loved it.

Thanks for the feedback. This is now looking like a family trip; my 15-year-old daughter has started playing and thinks this might be fun.

My wife may opt to get a rare weekend in the house by herself, though.

It's going to be a family affair! All four of us (daughter-16, son-11, my wife & myself) will be flying in Thursday and back home Sunday. Though my non-gaming wife will be hunting other amusements.
