I can't go. They won't give me group rate for the Thursday in which I wish to arrive, so want to charge me $141 for that one night. So I am not coming.

The problem on Thursday night was an oversight on my part. When filling out the forms for block reservation, i simply put Friday thru Sunday (the same dates as the Con). I did not even think about people coming in on Thursday and needing a room for Thursday night. I have emailed my contact at the hotel and she informed me that they are working to get it corrected in the system.
She said she would email me when the change has been reflected in the system. I will pass it along as soon as i know.

Cool. Yeah, I am paying for everything in cash, like when I pay it will be with my cash/credit card drawing straight from my bank. The extra $50+ took me above my budget for this.
For instance, the money I am spending on this could buy me a nice new clothes washer, which I could actually use since my current machine is a pain in the rear.
I only use CC's when I absolutely have to. Going to Troll Con isn't a "have to". Just a really, really like to.
