M1: Dragora's Dungeon

Post by DangerDwarf »

My group recently began our 4e Haunted Highlands cmapaign and in today's session I decided to run them through Goodman Games M1: Dragora's Dungeon.

Holy shit GG kicks ass. This module is amazing!

So far everyone is having a blast with this one. Interesting story and fun as hell to boot. It is definately one I'll probably run again some day, though next time with C&C probably.

Good stuff folks.

We're even going to try and meet again tomorrow so maybe we can finish it.

OUr session logs can be found HERE.

Even if you aren't a 4e fan, this is a module worth picking up.

I picked it up at the LGS about 2 weeks ago. Looks like a good and very fun adventure,

I think that if converted to C&C it would be a little higher level.

I mostly bought for the cover, that dragon looks lecherous.

And yeah, definitely a little higher level for C&C.

I've heard some good things about it, DD. Would you be willing to give a quickie review of it?

Well, the Master Dungeons series seems to be a bit more than your standard dungeon crawl fare.

Quickie PLot Summary

Hawt Chick and her Dragon Lover discover ancient magic of an ancient city los tto the world. PLanning big bad guy stuff she uses her duped ape-men followers (who think her dragon is an avatar of tiamat) and ensorcels the kingdom and puts the nobility in a magic slumber.

Up to the party to save the day.

First two parts of the adventure in the lost city have some excellent encounters and fun traps. Not too crawl heavy either. My group is about a third of the way in to the module and loving every bit of it.

The place where it really shines though is the city of the ape-men. Brillinatly done. Gives you a map, details on factions and encounter ideas plus a slew of tools for running extended sessions in the lost city and interacting with the factions, etc.

You could literally run many, many sessions using that section of the module alone even after completing the story presented within.

Excellent product for any game system with a special sort of feel I wish you could find in more products.

Highly recommended.

Two hawt chicks in a cat fight over the magic of Parhok would have been gravy.

We ran another, albeit short, session of this module yesterday. Details are posted on our Campaign Site.

Depending on how my doctor visit goes today we might try and squeeze in another session today if time permits.
