As I mentioned in another thread, I've been running a Haunted Highlands campaign using the 4e rules. After our last session, the players decided they wanted to convert the characters and carry on the campaign using our beloved Castles & Crusades.
Well, the characters are converted and I C&C'ized our Campaign Site over on Obsidian Portal.
Some of the character conversions were interesting.
Suri was pretty easy. She's a halfing and she's a rogue. Straight forward.
Ash was pretty straight forward too. Just needed to come up with a C&C race for him. So I did up the Sakatte, an Ugashtan tribe with lycanthropic blood in their veins.
As a Goliath Warden, Nalla got switched around a bit in the C&C version. The race was dropped since it hadn't been overly prominent in the campaign yet and she's now an Ugashtan Barbarian using the Barbarian class presented by AGP.
Kael proved a little more tricky. As a warlord in 4e, the knight class for C&C seemed the obvious choice. However, Kael's player wasn't to happy with that in fitting in with the character concept. Kael was played as a charismatic warrior with a penchant for history. So, luckily enough, the C&C bard fits that bill rather nicely. Slapped up a quick C&C tiefling conversion and we were good to go.
I'll be adding to our campaign site as the campaign progresses. Right now I just have info on the party, our house rules and a few areas of the Duchy of Karbosk given entries.
Tonight will be our first session since the conversion and I'll try to post the Adventure log when we're done.
So far the game has been a blast. Looking even more forward to it since we are going back to C&C.

Alright. Early this evening we played our first session of the converted from 4e to C&C campaign.
I used the U3 - Verdant Rage module, modified for the campaign of course.
It...
Was....
Awesome!!!!
Sieg writes some great modules.
Our group has been playing C&C and 4e at about a 50/50 ratio here lately. I think today's session made them completely forget about 4e. They know 4e and C&C are different games and we play them for different reasons. But, this was the first time they played the same character in both systems and C&C undoubtedly won the day.
It was a great session and all of the players are glad we switched the campaign over to C&C.
The first session log can be found here: Session 1: Verdant Rage.

Well, had another session earlier today. It went pretty well but looked like it was on the verge of a TPK there near the end.
Malash Radko steals the Scrolls of Nartarus and the party ends up in a chase across the Duchy of Karbosk trying to catch him before he reaches the Crater of Umeshti.

Well, on Sunday we sat down and the party began their excursion into the Crater of Umeshti...
It went badly.
Part was due to bad choices made on the part of the party, the other part was a slew of bad dice rolling all the way around.
First, the party was over confident upon their arrival in the actual crater.
"Oh, just kobolds?"
Famous last words.
Rushing in to the oiled down floor trap room was the first blow. Everyone failed their saves, even the dextrous rogue. The flaming oil took its toll, especially with the kobolds sniping them. But, the party managed to survive.
A few of the fights went extremely well for the party but their resources were being whittled away.
Mistake after mistake was made though and they blundered into the net trap, getting caught and TPK'd as the kobold snipers kicked their ass.
Hate that it had to end that way, but sometimes players just have to be reminded they aren't invincible. Especially when they make the goofs they were making that day.
Ah well, back to the drawing board.
