Review of 100 Calamitous Curses

Post by zacharythefirst »

I did a short review of Adventure Games Publishing's 100 Calamitous Curses for C&C. You can read it here, if interested:

Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.

Nice review. The example makes me think that somebody spent too much time watching "The Corsican Brothers." It's a neat curse, though. I may have to check that whole line of products out.

Cool review. Gets right to the point.

I had already wanted to get this, and now I feel more inclined.

Yeah, with a 12-page pdf, I felt like that was probably the best way to go about it.
For those wanting a second opinion, Jamie Mal at Grognardia also reviewed this product some time back:

Thanks for the great review, Zachary!

I hope to get back to the various "100" series projects soon, now that my Internet computer is back up and running (knock on wood)...

Oh, if you get the chance, could you put that review up on DTRPG/RPGNow through your account there? The more reviews up there from buyers, the better!

Thanks again!

James

Sure thing, James. I meant to do so, but it's been a crazy week and a half. I'll put it up now...

With two sales going on (TLG's and AGP's) it's hard not to spend money!

I quite agree. I have a very small budget for pdf purchase, so I can only usually get 1-2 smaller ones a week. The sale has been nice, but I think I have my next 6 weeks planned out.

Indeed. All this and my normal FLGS purchases on top of it and budgeting for GecCon.

Zachary,

Thanks for posting that review on DTRPG/RPGNow! Only one tiny problem... you posted it on the 100 Exciting Encounters page rather than 100 Calamitous Curses! Could you fix that?

Thanks again!

James
